  • Perfect Family Getaway!!

"We stayed in this Historic Mountain Country home for 4 nights , it's a nice house and has everything you need on a vacation plus the house keeper and owner were just a phone call away . I would recommend this house to anybody looking for a peaceful vacation home near rutland area of Vermont. We would surely visit again. Thanks Alex and Renee for the wonderful experience and a bright start to 2017!!!"

  • Convenient to skiing yet peaceful

"This house is convenient to all that Killington has to offer yet is in a wooded setting making it peaceful. The house has ample room for large families. We only had 4 in our family so we really did not need all the space. The house is nicely decorated and stocked to make your stay feel like you are home. I prepared Thanksgiving dinner with pots and pans provided. We would definitely come back. The entire family enjoyed!"

  • Great vacation home for family reunion

"The owners were easy to communicate with, and met us at the property to show us around. The owners truly care for their property, it was very clean, there were beautiful flowers planted around the property. We celebrated Canadian thanksgiving at the property and the kitchen was well equipped for us to cook our big meal. There were rooms suitable for 3 adult couples, and then a room with single beds and another with bunks that were great for kids. The owners kindly let us bring up 2 dogs to the property. We loved the hiking trails up the hill behind the property, and found a nice 2 hour hike at the northern end of lake George too. The only caveat about the dogs was that the property is separated from the lake by the main road around the lake, so we just had to take care to ensure dogs were always on leash around the property and didn't run into the road. The owners were very attentive, and stopped by to make sure we were doing ok during our stay, and to take garbage to the dump. Overall we really enjoyed the stay and would recommend this vacation property. The owners were prompt with return of our security deposit, it was returned to us the day we checked out. Thanks for a great stay!"

  • Rustic cabin nestled amongst the trees

"We rented this cabin for a week in August. Both owners (John and Margaret) were wonderful to work with. They answered all of the questions I had promptly and professionally. The cabin was clean and very well equipped. They even provided firewood which we greatly appreciated. The cabin itself is nestled within a cove near the narrows of Lake George, making swimming off of their dock safe and calm. The water in that portion of the lake is also quite clear. The property is heavily treed, so it remained cool although the daytime temps were in the high 80's that week. The porch runs the length of the cabin and is huge. We ate all of our meals on it while enjoying the beautiful lake. Although the porch is not screened, we didn't have any problems with mosquitoes. This is no way a criticism, but there are alot of stairs. There's a set to get down to the camp and another lengthy set to head down to the dock. We didn't have any problems with them, but my mother required assistance. If you're looking for a rustic experience but don't want to rough it, this spot is perfect. We loved it!!"
