  • Good but not great.

"This is a comfortable condo in an excellent position surrounded by trees and greenery. Just a little way down the road is Harvest Market which serves great coffee and even better cakes, breads and lots of other delicious delicacies - very dangerous! My reasons for giving a less than great rating are that although the blurb about the condo says the the furnishings are modern, in fact the dining room table and chairs are pretty ancient and very well worn - definitely past their use by date. And we couldn't understand why there were only 2 dining chairs at the table with a party of 4 coming in. We found some collapsible chairs in a cupboard, thankfully. The other reason is that the whole apartment is in need of a bit of TLC. The window frames in the main bedroom are rotted - maybe other window frames too - and the paint work looks like it's seen better days. Even so, it was comfortable and quiet. We ate out twice at The Bench and really enjoyed our meals. Tasty fish and some of the best chips I've ever had. The other meal options were good too."

  • Fantastic Cottage Getaway!

"The detailed description for this getaway cottage was exactly how the owners described, and better than we expected. The property was in A-1 condition, everything was available and clean. The owners, John and Jean not only greeted us with a warm welcome but with recommendations for so much to do in the area. They made us feel so much at home. They presented with such hospitality with a tour of their property of breathtaking waterfalls in their lovely backyard, a beautiful garden of flowers, and many vegetables. We even found vegetables on our table and blackberries in a basket on the steps, to name just a few of the beautiful touches they added to our stay to make it so wonderful each day. There is so much to do, including the nearby Alpaca farm, don't leave the area without visiting these beautiful animals. Also, when you go into town, there is so much to explore, and only a short drive to Canada. We all had a blast. This is a wonderful historic cottage in a great location that has all the amenities and nearby attractions, including great restaurants. We couldn't ask for more. It was a fantastic getaway. Highly recommend this cottage to family, friends, and colleagues. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway or vacation in the area this is the one for you. Our stay brought much peace and happiness, we loved it! We will be back for sure! A'Vant Family"

  • Has it all

"Our first time up to Okemo I was coordinating a huge group and had tons of question for the owners of this house, who were great to deal with. Love it to much have ended up going three times, once in the Fall and twice for skiing...going up again this winter! Location is great, quick ride into town or to the mountain...A fantastic home for families or adult groups...It's clean, tons of bathrooms and a big area to eat in...two different living areas in the house, so you can have separate hang out areas which works great with our group."

  • Fabulous right on the lake!

"We stayed at this well equipped, clean home and had a grand time. The west side of the lake had very little travel on the road making for a nice quite atmosphere. The lake is very quite and also friendly, I struck up quite a few conversations with the locals. The lake water was crystal clear and inviting! The house had plenty of boats to keep us paddling and the ping pong table was also a lot of fun. We were happy to see and hear a family of Loons everyday and also were treated to a pair of barred owls calling back to one another one evening. There was hardly any light pollution which made stargazing terrific. Every night I saw at least three shooting stars. The house is off the beaten path but a short drive away to the little town of Wilmington, were you can find fabulous restaurants, The Anchor or the Roadhouse were our favorites plus lots of gift shopping as well as some really great artists. There are also miles upon miles of hiking trails to wander! I can't say enough how great this house and its location were! I'll be back for sure!"
