  • Perfect place of peace

"Our stay was too early for foliage and the local foliage festivals but instead we had beautiful warm air and breezes with cool evenings. It was wonderful to spend quiet time on the deck or dock or if it rained or was too cool, being inside was a pleasure as well. We've never experienced sunsets as beautiful as those from the deck. Our hosts made sure that the cottage was well equipped with anything we might need. The next time (and we are planning on another year) we know that except for personal things, there is little we need to take. We were able to enjoy great hikes and walks in the area. The glacial erratics are amazing allowing us to ponder how our earth evolved. Although there are plenty of places and things to see and do in the Northeast Kingdom, if you are looking for wide flat screen TVs, internet and cell service in the cottage, this is not your place. However, if you are looking for a place to re-create and find yourself and soul again, we recommend it heartily."

  • Great private getaway !

"Our family loved the Classic Post & Beam Vermont Home ! The property was private and a safe getaway for 6 adults and 3 children . Close to so much to do and see for summer fun and the state park was just minutes down the street for a fun day of swimming and paddle board rentals . The boys had a great day of golf on the course right around the corner . The house has everything you would need with a peaceful and private deck and the sauna was beautiful . So relaxing , we would recommend this house and give it a high 5 ! So close to so much to do in Vermont ! The owners are very helpful and easy to reach if needed . The large kitchen was a plus as we all enjoy cooking while the boys played pool in the man cave !"

  • JACKPOT!

"Over the years we have rented numerous properties but this one is a stand out! The house is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and well equipped. Our multigenerational family group found everything we needed from highchairs to a massage chair! Most importantly the owners were most helpful and easily accessible. Not only was it well located for the skiers in our group but it was also very convenient for the skaters, sledders and shoppers. The house lent itself easily to cooking and serving family meals. We also had the occasional apres ski treat of walking into the village for drinks and fine dining. I rate this property a 10 out of 10. We plan to rent again next year."

  • Wonderful - a vacation in another time

"The kind of place that inspires you to tackle that nineteenth century novel you've always meant to write. Beautifully, thoughtfully restored cottage, nestled in a slice of Vermont heaven. Deb is a warm, kind host who's provided every amenity; every nook and corner is a delight. Check out the little graveyard in the common across the country lane, and see the number of Revolutionary War veterans laid to rest there. Minutes from Waitsfield, but centuries away from all cares. Highly, highly recommended."
