  • Fell in love

"The cabin was used by 17 ladies for a bachelorette weekend at the wineries in late June - everything was absolutely perfect! All of the girls fell in love with the cabin! It was well-equipped and the owners seem to have thought of everything! It was so cool to be away for a weekend in such a secluded spot and in such a fabulous house. Absolutely stunning! Word to the wise though, simply getting up the steep gravel drive at the end was very hard for any sedans or SUV's without 4WD so I would highly recommend 4WD if you go all the way up the driveway - we were able to figure out parking for 9 vehicles but getting everyone turned around and back down the drive on Sunday was a bit challenging. Still, a wonderful spot & highly recommended! Owner is great at communication, the price is very reasonable, and it is quite close to several vineyards in the area. Great time!"

  • Repeat vistors, enjoyed ourselves as usual.

"Fourth trip to the farm, weather was cool and wet for the season but as usual the setting was awe inspiring and restful. Hiking the farm, reading and trips down the beautiful winding roads of Bath County provided great chance of pace for us. Looking forward to a return trip in early fall."

  • Quaint Home in the Heart of Virginia

"Our non-profit hosted our annual retreat at this home and loved every minute of it. The property is spacious both inside and out! Everyone loved the goats and donkeys on the farms and the scenic landscape was a breath of fresh air for us city dwellers. The kitchen was excellent, well equipped, and provided plenty of room for us to cook for our large group. Highly recommend this beautiful property!"

  • It was everything we needed in one sweet package!

"We loved staying at the PawPaw over Easter weekend. The pictures do not do it justice- it is so much more unique and beautiful than the pictures suggest.. It was obviously carefully built and beautifully maintained. Additionally, it was impeccably clean. While the home is very small, we had just what we needed. I was able to cook all of our meals without problems. We really enjoyed the trails and the canoes. We even caught a bonfire. It was really a weekend of simply living. We would love to return."
