  • Amazing home!

"This house is so much better than the pictures! I was a bit hesitant to rent it with so few reviews (and high price tag), but it was absolutely worth every penny. We stayed here for 3 nights over my wedding weekend. It's huge and all appliances, linens, etc are top quality. Everything feels/looks new. They really thought of everything in this house - game room, wine fridge, HUGE refrigerator/freezer. Great place to entertain! Every bedroom is very large. Location is fantastic. House feels very private (perfect lawn for games, firepit, etc), but close to everything. Can't say enough good things -- Mark was a wonderful host, too. I would absolutely recommending renting this property for a family reunion, wedding, etc. It is spectacular... we rented 4 large homes of a similar price in the area for the weekend and this one was far and away the nicest!"

  • Beautiful quaint place!

"We absolutely loved our stay at Five Petals was well appointed and had all the amenities needed for a perfect little getaway. We were able to walk downtown several times during our stay and also drove to nearby wineries. The cottage is gorgeous!! The owner was very accommodating and thoughtful. Thank you! Can't wait to return!"

  • Great Getaway

"Coming from Charlottesville, this is an easy drive. We came up from the south and the farm seemed really remote via the back roads. The house is charming, with lots of room. We were two families of 5 and there was room for all of us at the dining room table, and beds for everyone. It was very clean with comfortable beds and fluffy towels. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans that we used as we made dinner every night. Our hosts were gracious and helpful, instantly responding to our every request. We had fun feeding chickens and goats and tasting the maple water and maple syrup Bill was working on. The room in the basement, with cozy sofas, a TV and games was a favorite hang out for the kids and the adults. Most of the rooms had heaters so there were no thermostat wars among the various temperaments. Extra blankets too. It's about 45 minutes to Wintergreen, and less than twenty to Charlottesville sights. We recommend this to anyone except if you have trouble with stairs."
