"Our recent stay at La Fourche was delightful. Having rented many different homes in different areas, it certainly is at the top of our list. The four grandchildren were delighted with the fire pit. And loved visiting with the neighborly horses. And of course the wonderful train room. Keswick is a beautiful area and easy access to Charlottesville."

  • Great Bungalow, Excellent Location!

"Great little bungalow located in a great residential neighborhood. Within walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. Nicely furnished, great front porch to hang out on, and off street parking. Will definitely again in the future!"

  • Cabin Christmas 2016 - December 23rd thru January 1st

"Christmas 2016 was spent in this beautiful cabin. For years, we've been thinking about a rustic Christmas. My family of four, including two teenagers (and even our dachshund). Along with my sister's family of three, with a seven year old, as well as our senior parents (and their schnauzer) all stayed comfortably in this lovely cabin on the mountain. We were able to make a full Christmas feast easily with all of the kitchen supplies on site. Susan, the cabin owner, had a Christmas tree waiting for our arrival with a few decorations. We brought our own tree topper, lights and some supplies to make decorations, now the scene is set. My brother-in-law grew up in nearby Charlottesville, his mother and eldest daughter came over on Christmas day to celebrate with us. The day after Christmas, we took a day trip to Washington DC, which is a GREAT day to go as all the museums etc. are open and the crowds are extremely light. We also went to Monticello, Frontier Village, Lauray caverns, the downtown mall, and a drive on Skyline drive and Blue Ridge Parkway. It was everything we hoped for and then some. The cabin owner was available and eager to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I will warn you, your mobile service may not be available. My family has AT&T and about half way up the road, we lose service. However, my sister has Verizon and she had spotty coverage in the cabin and on the grounds. No service meant my teenagers had to learn to live without the internet while we were in the cabin, which is something we all actually enjoyed. It was great family bonding time. We made a few fires in the pit, sat on the porch swings, played games and reconnected as a family."

  • Wonderful Retreat!

"This is a modern stylish home with all the comforts! It has a very well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds with nice linens, a beautiful pool and wonderful rooftop patio. The location is maybe not as desirable and the neighborhood concerned me at first, but it was quiet and we did not have any issues. There is a train that runs right behind the house, but the noise did not bother us at all. Even though it was a short weekend and we did not spend much time at the house, we very much enjoyed it and found it to be very comfortable. Would recommend and rent from again."
