  • Reclusive, peaceful setting with much to offer

"The Montfair Farm provides a relaxing escape by offering scenic views; opportunities to explore the woods through wonderful trails; and cozy, comfortable cabins. The owners/office staff are very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our short trip to Humpback Mountain that was recommended and our visit to Charlottesville. The food and coffee in Crozet was also delicious. My partner enjoyed fishing and canoeing while I enjoyed hiking and biking the trails. Once I got over the fact that I did not have phone access at the cabin, and that the internet was slow and spotty, I enjoyed this vacation as much as any I have taken. In fact, the lack of connectivity most likely greatly enhanced the relaxation. The A-frame cabin would be perfect for a couple with teenagers or older children, but the steep stairs to the loft is prohibitive for very young children, older people or those with disabilibites. Montfair offers a reclusive, peaceful setting and is a wonderful retreat. Thank you so much to the attentive staff. Dr. Bean"

  • great place to stay!

"the owner was so accommodating and the bungalow is adorable! even nicer in person than in photos with fresh flowers everywhere and several sweet touches of southern hospitality. perfect place to stay with my two boys for a wedding weekend in C'ville without having to bunk up in a hotel room!"

  • Beautiful home!

"This home was exactly what our family needed to relax for a few days while touring the area. It is close to Charlottesville, wineries, breweries, etc. The owner is responsive, professional and friendly. The home is warm and comfortable yet still large and perfect for entertaining numbers of guests. My wife found an over-sized chair in the den that faces a wall of glass to a field for a yard. She said she could have sat there for days just reading and relaxing. Our kids had plenty of room to play and explore. Our daughter cried big tears when it was time to leave proving it was a successful visit!"

  • Fantastic!

"We had a girls weekend with 14 of my cousins and aunts. There was plenty of room for all of us. This cabin was so beautiful. The lovely quilts on the beds, claw foot tubs, antique stoves were so quaint. We all fell in love with it. The scenery was beautiful as well. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and rocking in all of the rocking chairs. One night we made smores out back in the fire pit. What fun! The owner responded to all my questions very promptly. I want to bring my husband and kids back in the fall. Thanks so much!!"
