  • Tranquil setting with fabulous views

"Having taken our young children to Chincoteague for years, we decided to go back with our young adult children for another family vacation. Goosebay was spacious, sunny, and comfortably accomodating for our large adult family. It surpassed the description and photos. The views of the bay from the porch and kitchen were a pleasant surprise. (I thought it was only visible from the upstairs deck and bedroom). The screened porch was a beautiful place to sit and listen to the sounds of nature and enjoy sunset on the bay. The water was a short walk from the house. The property is nestled among trees off the main road so it is perfect for younger children. The property manager(Harbor Realtors) was courteous and quick to respond to our needs and questions. Our family enjoyed swimming, clamming, fishing and biking, as well as dining out in local restaurants. My favorite part was waking up with a cup of coffee to the beautiful views! I would stay here again as I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, ,spacious rental with a bay view."

  • Stunning!

"My extended family enjoyed a fabulous week at Baywatch House. The views of the Bay were so beautiful. Do yourselves a favor and watch the sunrise. We had ponies in our backyard. The boat dock was perfect for crabbing{ which we did}, and fishing . The interior was so pretty, and decorated perfectly. Every piece of decor was lovely. We will return next year!"

  • A great condo with a knockout view.

"My wife and I stayed here for the New Year's celebration. It is an easy place to get to, very quiet, clean, well equipped and a good value. Chincoteague is a tourist town but we were here off season, so it wasn't jumping. There is plenty to do, but the diamond is this condo's view. I counted up to 18 ponies grazing across the channel in the marsh grass. Loons, buffleheads, egrets, herons, mallards, grebes, snow geese, northern shovelers to name a few were either in the wildlife refuge or paddling by outside our sliding glass door to the condo. The unit's heating system kept the place toasty. While we went to restaurants and didn't cook here, the kitchen is well equipped. The condo is on the second floor so be prepared to use the stairwell, which was no problem. The outside premises were in good shape with a nice dock where the diving birds gathered. The owner was easy to get hold of, but aside from our initial arrival, we did not contact her. My wife and I wonder why some people need to get on a jet and fly far away to vacation when this condo has it all in a great location."

  • Great location and well stocked

"My friend and I and our two elementary-aged kids had a BLAST here. The location on the water was fantastic and the kids loved fishing and crabbing off the dock. We enjoyed the view and chatting with the neighbors. There were plenty of games and movies to occupy us in the evenings and when it rained. The property manager was very nice and checked in on us and was responsive when we had an issue with the toilet. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and utensils. If you like a really dark room to sleep, I'd recommend a sleep mask as the lights from the parking lot come in through the blinds. While in the area, we checked out Wallops Island NASA, both educational centers in Assateague, walked on the beach, rented a tandem bike, ate ice cream at Island Creamery, walked down to Memorial Park, and more. I never knew going to the shore could be so much fun in the fall when you can't go swimming. The owner was responsive and we appreciated that they would have let us reschedule due to the hurricane. I would have liked to receive more instructions on how to enter/leave the property, how to operate TV/DVD/games, what to do with trash/recycling, etc. As for the apartment, it could use a facelift, especially the bathroom. But you can't beat the price and location! Thank you for sharing your condo with us."
