  • Wonderful spot

"We've stayed at Sandpiper for a couple of years now.... over Thanksgiving week and it's been perfect! It is very nicely furnished and it is situated in our favorite part of Chincoteague. We bike everywhere and you can enjoy both the sunrises and sunsets. Highly recommend Sandpiper.... very well cared for and it is well stocked with everything you need. The layout allows for both community and privacy if you are vacationing with another couple. The owners are wonderful to work with. We'll be back!"

  • Tranquil setting with fabulous views

"Having taken our young children to Chincoteague for years, we decided to go back with our young adult children for another family vacation. Goosebay was spacious, sunny, and comfortably accomodating for our large adult family. It surpassed the description and photos. The views of the bay from the porch and kitchen were a pleasant surprise. (I thought it was only visible from the upstairs deck and bedroom). The screened porch was a beautiful place to sit and listen to the sounds of nature and enjoy sunset on the bay. The water was a short walk from the house. The property is nestled among trees off the main road so it is perfect for younger children. The property manager(Harbor Realtors) was courteous and quick to respond to our needs and questions. Our family enjoyed swimming, clamming, fishing and biking, as well as dining out in local restaurants. My favorite part was waking up with a cup of coffee to the beautiful views! I would stay here again as I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, ,spacious rental with a bay view."

  • Beautiful, serene home...great for family vacation

"We stayed here over Thanksgiving for 5 nights (and lucked out with the most amazing weather we could've hoped for). We had 7 people--5 adults and 2 kids. We all loved the home. The kitchen (very important for Thanksgiving) was fantastic. It had everything we needed to cook a Thanksgiving meal. It was also large and modern. The large dining table had more than enough seating for all of us. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The decks were awesome--spacious and with great views--we got up nearly every morning to watch the sunrise. The yard was nice and large and flat (although, it would have been nice if the lawn had been mowed...the kids wanted to play soccer but the grass was super long). The dock was spectacular and the view from the end of the dock (particularly in the mornings and evenings) was stunning. The house comes with crab traps and a canoe (be sure to ask for them to be made available prior to arriving). We asked that the canoe be available. However, one small complaint was that although the canoe was there for us to use, they left the oars locked in the garage (the property manager--who is super responsive--came and got them out for us) and there were no life vests. We couldn't take the kids out on the canoe because we didn't have life vests. Sort of a bummer. Lastly, it was an inconvenience that the house does not come with linens and towels (unless you want to pay $200 extra). We flew in from various parts of the country, and bringing sheet sets and towels was sort of annoying. For this type of rental property, I firmly believe linens and towels should be part of the rental. However, it obviously didn't stop us for booking this house, and I'm very glad it didn't. Overall, however, our stay here was amazing. One of the best trips we've taken together. We all enthusiastically agreed that we would absolutely return to Chincoteague and to this house again!"

  • Cousins' Gathering for Niece's Wedding

"I can’t thank you enough for renting your vacation home to us for the dates we needed it! When we came in the door, our mouths were hanging open with awe! Beautiful inside and out! All the kitchen essentials were there for us, and we all took turns making a great meal. Everyone who stayed there (cousins, brother) loved the place. We even had the others in the family who were down for the wedding over for dinner and lawn games a couple of times. They loved the place as well. The decks are huge and comfortably laid out. Coffee was taken out there many mornings! The sunsets at the point were the highlight of the day (evening) and we congregated there to take pictures most nights. I am attaching a picture of the last evening my husband and I were there (Tuesday), as everyone else had left for home before that. I loved hearing the birds singing in the morning—actually all day! And the different wildlife in the inlet was amazing—I think I saw something different every day. And of course, I took lots of pictures! Birds, turtles, fish—geese with babies, you name it. Guess I don’t have to tell you how special your place is. We loved the Creamery for ice cream, Gary Howard Seafood for a great take out meal for 14, The Jackspot for great beer and lunch, AJ's on the Creek for tasty seafood and ambiance. We visited Assateague Island for the beach several times, once for a sunrise. The mini-golf courses are challenging and fun! There is no shortage of things to see and do there! We all talked about coming back to the island, and being at your house again. Of course, I don’t think my husband and I will always get the master bedroom with a door to the back porch!! Everyone has to have a turn with that! Thank you so much!"
