  • Wonderful retreat in the Pacific Northwest

"What a wonderful property!! My family held a reunion at the Wallace Falls Log Lodge in June 2016. The lodge was perfect for our family of 20 adults and two children. No one felt crowded, plenty of space for everyone. The property had so much to offer.....from the out building for karaoke and dancing, to the covered patio for outdoor dining, the hot tub, fire pit for making s'mores, horseshoe game, plus the grassy area for frisbee/soccer/whiffle ball. We also took advantage of the fact that we were next to Wallace Falls State Park. We were able to hike into the park several times to see the falls. A group also took advantage of the availability of white water rafting from Gold Bar. The property managers were available whenever we had a question. The house is well stocked with everything you may need during your stay. I highly recommend this property as a destination for a family reunion, wedding, or retreat!! From the time I first contacted the owner to the time we checked out, everything was top notch!"

  • Just a wonderful place and experience!

"This is the second time we've stayed with Charlotte Baker. Here are the main points. 1. Wonderful location. Central to Redmond Town Center and superb Saturday Farmer's Market. Right by the Sammamish River Trail. Shops and restaurants. 2. Wonderful and thoughtful host. Charlotte thought of and provided everything for comfort and convenience. Pots and pans, dishes, wifi, TV, washer/dryier, jjust everything to make one feel at home. Plus, the place is absolutely charming with a French theme! Just like being in a cozy Parisian retreat with all the comforts of home. 3. We love the skylights in the kitchen and bathroom. Worth a climb to the 3rd level. 4. She also provided bikes, plus helmets. We did not use them, but others who want to explore the area (trail to Woodinville) will find them useful. 5. Charlotte checks in with us when we arrived to make sure we were fine. She was there to provide anything else we might need, but of course she already anticipated every need. Would definitely stay with her again and again!"

  • Beautiful family getaway on the water!

"We rented the hood canal grand cottage for 6 nights in July and had our family come stay with us. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and lots of room to all gather together downstairs in the evenings. The view is spectacular, and the interior of the house is gorgeous! All 3 grass lawns are huge and plenty big enough for any kind of game. The beach has all kinds of unique shells and plenty of sand. We were able to collect tons of clams at low tide, and caught crabs in our crab pots right off shore. The kitchen is huge and well equipped, great for big family meals. Poulsbo is only about a 15 minute drive away with convenient shops and there are taxi services in the area that came in handy. The owners were very kind and friendly as well as professional, and they were quick to come fix anything that came up. We loved the combination of having the giant house and lawns, the beach activities, the nearby sightseeing and tourist spots, plus all the familiar stores you need close by and many small unique ones in Poulsbo. We had a wonderful time all around and would recommend the hood canal grand cottage to anyone looking for an incredible vacation or getaway of any kind!"

  • Beautiful Mid-Century home conveniently located

"Our family stayed here for a wedding on the island and it couldn't have been better. The home is conveniently located near town so everything is a short walk/ drive though removed enough to feel very private. The house is a beautiful example of mid-century architecture, with warm and well appointed furnishings. All the beds and were comfortable and everything worked well. There is a large back yard with space for the kids to play. We look forward to staying here next time we're on the Island."
