  • Perfect home for a family visit in the Seattle area

"We stayed in this home for a few days after returning from an Alaskan cruise in August 2016. The location was perfect as it wasn't too far outside of the Seattle area. The home has a large upstairs with five bedrooms that we all used. The main level had plenty of space to spread out and let the little kids play as well as another bedroom and bathroom that we used. We used the large kitchen every night for cooking dinner. The grocery stores were within a mile or two. The property was very clean and well-maintained. We did have a question and needed to call the owner Laurie and she answered right away to assist us. I will say there isn't central air in this property which was an inconvenience the first day but once we opened the windows and placed the fans in the windows we felt the cool night air and all was well. We also enjoyed playing cards on the table out on the patio at night time as well as stargazing with our little ones. I would recommend exploring Snoqualmie Falls and also Mt Rainier National Park. Wear your swimsuit, bring a towel, and carry water to drink. The hikes are fun and there are places to get wet. Some of my family members cliff jumped at Mt Rainier National Park. The water is ice cold though! We also visited Pike's Market but after about a half hour we realized it was way too crowded so we headed for Snoqualmie Falls."

  • A fantastic week

"Our party ranged in age from 6 to 82 and we all had a fabulous time. The house is so large you can all go off and do your own thing then come back together in the evening for a relaxed barbie and maybe a glass of something on the deck. The house is extraordinarily well equipped and everything is of a very high standard. In fact I am not sure how I can revert to living with one sink and dishwasher after having 2! We loved the open plan of the kitchen, plenty of room for everyone, and we loved the very communal square table and high stools for relaxed meals, reading, puzzles, working......we didn't use the formal dining space so much, but it was also beautiful. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very comfortable with quality carpets, fixtures and fittings. The master suite is something else, the nicest I have ever stayed in. The 2 laundries were much appreciated and well used, again with excellent equipment. The aircon in the property is efficient, we were at a perfect temperature all week. And I haven't even got to the best bit yet.....the lake and the views. Before we arrived we hadn't appreciated just how high and spectacular Mount Rainier is. It's completely mind blowing. We visited Mt Rainier National Park just before we arrived (recommended) and it's just awesome. The windows in the house are huge, to frame the view, and the house has one of the best spots on the entire lake to enjoy them. In fact the house next door is for sale if you want to enjoy them permanently! The lake could not have been better either. It's very shallow by the house, perfect for a paddle and swim. The pontoon was extremely well used by our family as a swimming destination. The kayaks were great fun with young and middle aged taking them out everyday. Virtually no skill or experience is required and life jackets in variety of sizes were supplied in case of mishap. We had wonderful weather for our week, even the lake was warm. As a result we didn't venture too far but there are plenty of grocery shops close by and we used the Black Diamond bakery a few times which is also recommended, along with the vintage/antique shop a few doors down, perfect for a well priced rummage. All in all, this could not have been a better holiday rental, so thank you to the owners for being so quick and responsive with our queries before we arrived and then letting us live the millionaire lifestyle for a week!"

  • Wonderful Vacation Home

"This was the 4th year staying at the cabin. Will be booking our 5th as well. This has become our family tradition and I have seen my granddaughter grow up here! We have made some wonderful memories here and just love how Russ has always been so accommodating, very speedy response to any needs you may have. Have recommended this place to all my friends. Every year we come to find something updated or added. The new covered deck, with table and seating for 6 along with other comfortable seating and lights strung up around the deck made excellent additional gathering spot. Thanks Russ for sharing your house with our family!"

  • Nice Property & Worked Pretty Well

"I thought that the overall accommodations were nice. We had 3 families, so it was a big group. I would have been nice to have more seating in the the kitchen and dinning room, and there is only once couch in the living room. It was hard for us all to hang out in one area because of the lack of seating. Other than that, it was in nice condition, the owner was really nice to work with, and it was easy to get to. There are 4 levels, so it wouldn't be good for anyone that has difficultly with stairs. It worked out find for our needs."
