  • Sweet Spot for Group Getaway

"Gathered up 10 of my friends and headed to Whidbey Island for the weekend. Upon my arrival, several guests had already arrived and immediately began telling me all the amazing parts of the house and property. It's a good sized home and one of the most beautiful, well designed properties I've experienced. There is a fire pit just down away from the home, with a lovely wrap around bench, closed in for privacy by a ring of evergreens. The outside hot tub is at the bottom of the deck and we loved it! Day and night, it was well used. And stairs all the way down to the water with another firepit there. It's a trek and not for the gingerly. Be prepared for a heart pumping journey on the way up. As it goes, we spent a lot of time in the kitchen. Whether you were cooking or not, the whole crew packed in as that's what you do when you have so much space! The bedrooms were generous and the bathrooms plenty. There is a huge master suite on the top floor - the only room up there. Equipped with a deep jacuzzi tub and private balcony. The main floor consists of one bedroom on the east side of the house and private bathroom. There is a shared bathroom, laundry room, kitchen, dining area with long table and the living room which contains 3 couches. Plenty of room to watch a movie or catch the game. The lower floor has 2 rooms each with their own door, private bathroom and door out onto the patio and closest to the hot tub and firepit. I think the downstairs mattresses need some upgrading. The queen bed in the north room sank right into the middle and the pull out sofa definitely needs replacing. We ended up pulling the mattress off the sofa bed, off the 2 rollaways, and grabbed the 2 other mattresses to make comfortable sleeping arrangements on the floor for 3 in our party. Otherwise there would have been some aches and pains in the AM. There were plenty of blankets and pillows for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked, although we never found any tongs and it definitely needs knives sharpened and heaps more cutting boards. They DO have recycling which wasn't clear as there was only a bin for garbage. Please recycle! Our party recommends bringing ziploc bags/containers for leftovers. Your own firewood. A robe for the hot tub. Spices for cooking. Maybe your own drinking water. Solid wine bottle opener and a yoga mat to take in the amazing view."

  • Great getaway to relax and unplug.

"My husband and I really enjoyed our recent stay at the unique cabin in the woods. The cabin is tucked into its surroundings with lots of windows and a couple of skylights that make you feel encompassed by trees and nature. The cabin is very clean and the bed was super comfy. Kathleen is a wonderful host. She greeted us upon our arrival and checked in via text to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall a delightful experience."

  • Delightfully Cozy!

"Baby Beach is a lovely spot! We fired up the wood stove and enjoyed a cozy evening. The view from the kitchen table in the morning was lovely - bird watching and cloud watching on a rainy day. ...and oh so very very quiet. The house was easy to find and the super easy access to the grocery store came in handy, too! Jennifer gave us clear information about everything 'Baby Beach' and made sure all our needs were covered. Thank you for a lovely stay! I enjoyed sharing Whidbey Island with my friend from Ohio, and staying the night at Baby Beach was the icing on the cake!"

  • WE loved this place

"Wow! What a nice spot. The weather in Feb was cold with rain and a bit of snow, but My grandson and I tuffed it out while he practiced his spin rod casting off the dock. A local told me there were sand dabs and flounder to catch but that must be for a different time of year. Clamming was awesome. Manila clams can be had when the tide is at one foot or lower, and higher up the tide line are tons of varnish clams. 3-6 keepers per shovel load! The new deck is a perfect wildlife lookout. We saw 5 otters right in front of us pushing up baitfish while about 50 seagulls had a feeding frenzy on the little silvery fish. One day we witnessed two eagles chasing down a seagull and swimming along in front of us were mergansers, buffleheads, mallards, cormorants, and grebes. Upon arrival we found the house to be as neat as a pin. The kitchen has more gadgets than we have at home. Nice floor plan with lots of light, and the beds were all quite comfortable. Outside was often below freezing but the inside stayed nice and warm. We all agreed that it’s too bad that our summer vacations are already set or we’d be trying to find a vacancy here. We’d come and tie up a boat at the dock and go crabbing and fishing. Maybe next year."
