Our 3 night stay was made possible by owner, Larry's considerate accommodation of our need to change our original plan and reserved dates. Once settled in, we found this cabin to be more than adequate for our stay. Our original plan included our teen and adult children who were unable to join us, but is they were there, they would have loved all the amenities like TVs and rec room with pool table at Grin and Bear It! Weather was too cold to spend much time outdoors, but we managed to fit in a wonderful sunny morning with coffee on the back deck. Also, took full advantage of the wood-burning fireplace and supply of logs on site...did need to buy some kindling, but was so worth it to have a blazing fire every night. We enjoyed venturing into Young Harris and Hiawassee for some wonderful meals at Enricos and Michaelee's Chocolate Cafe. The cabin is also located conveniently off 19/129, just a few miles north of Blairsville and south of Murphy, NC. We look forward to our next visit!

My family recently had a chance to stay at this lovely cabin and we cannot wait to go back. The cabin is beautiful and in a very peaceful setting. The owners are great and easy to work with. They have thought of everything to make this cabin a home away from home. We really enjoyed sitting out on the back deck every morning watching the hummingbirds and rabbits come by and the fire pit and roasting marshmallows every night was a big hit with our kids. There is so much to do right at the cabin as well as nearby. We have stayed at many cabins and this one by far is the best. Wonderful vacation!!!

I can't say enough good things about the experience we had here! The home is exactly as the pictures show. The view was awesome, the cabin itself was furnished beautifully, it was quiet and very safe since it is a gated community, and other than your favorite foods, the cabin had everything you could possibly want in a home away from home. The owner is wonderful to work with, a very nice man! I would rent again in a heartbeat.

My wife and I recently rented the cabin for a four day weekend. We had some friends over for one of the nights and then enjoyed time alone for the rest of the stay. This cabin was a great find and we will definitely go back, hopefully soon. It is a great place for multiple couples looking to enjoy some time together as friends and offers lots of activities, like pool table, foosball, hottub, great sitting areas, movies and much more. But all the bedrooms are also on different floors with their own bathrooms allowing for each couple to have their own privacy and get away place too. The kitchen had everything we needed and they even keep a lot of things stocked for the guests. If one of the couples has kids, there is a sleeper sofa next to the master bedroom in the loft that is perfect for kids and wont get in the way with other people in the house, unlike some places who have sleeper sofa's in the main living room area. We were able to drive about 12 minutes into blairsville and walk around town, visit shops and eat some local cuisine, and later we stopped by the different mountain rustic furniture makers that are close to the house. It's in a gated community so there is no worry about random people or danger but it also secluded enough that you do not feel like you surrounded by people or neighbors. Great deck, fire pit, and view... So like I said, I very much enjoyed it, and for the price and location and amenties, you wont beat it!!! Go ahead and make your reservation, it's worth it!!!

Larry and Marsha, It is hard to believe this was our 4th year in a row for Thanksgiving week. As always, the place was immaculate. All the fall decorations were beautiful and made us feel right at home for our family Thanksgiving celebration. Plus, it motivated Wendy and the kids to completely re-do the whole place for Christmas. Once again, we were priviledged to put up the tree. This place is WONDERFUL. There is never enough time and I thought we were going to have to leave to kids up there since they nearly refused to leave. We have rented several properties through VRBO in places like Frisco and Brekenridge CO, Beech Mountain NC, Seagrove Beach FL, and Grin and Bear It. This was our second time back, and our stay was as good and even better than the first. We came in eary April, and the kids were able to see and play in snow (not typical for April) for the first time ever! Once again, the cabin was impeccable and with all of the amenities, we didn't need to go to far and just loved being there. Because it was cooler, we were able to take advantage of the wood burning fireplace and roast marshmellows many nights. We'll be back again for another wonderful cabin experience. Like everyone else, my wife and I were very impressed with this beautiful, clean, incredibly well-appointed home. The quality furniture is all very comfortable. With the pool table, foosball, huge video library and high-speed internet, rainy days were enjoyable, too. We have been renting vacation homes through VRBO for several years, and we have never encountered an owner as pleasant, considerate, and easy to deal with as Larry Stewart. Grin and Bear was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at. The cabin was beautiful, clean, well designed, and it was unbelievably stocked with everything you may or may not need. A great quiet place to get away from it all and relax. Larry was wonderful to deal with and he could easily charge more then he asks. Other cabins are also located in the same gated community so it would be a great to have family and friends vacation together but with some privacy. Just remember to keep Grin and Bear for yourself.
