Beautiful Pelican Watch Villa with Incredible Views

Seabrook Island provides a tranquil, beautiful setting for a great east coast, beach vacation. This prime second floor (the view is much better on the second floor) villa offers the most incredible sunsets imaginable. It’s hard to decide what to watch - the sunset, the kids and dogs playing on the beach, the families flying kites or the dolphins lazily cruising in the calm water. If you can’t relax in this beautiful setting, we wish you luck.
This second floor Pelican Watch one bedroom villa has new living room furniture, a new kitchen; two updated baths, a large bedroom with a king-size bed and convenient sitting area, new queen-size sleeper sofa in the comfortable living, HDTV’s in the living room and bedroom with DVD’s, washer and dryer, microwave, secure wireless internet connection and free nationwide long distance. In 2013 a retractable awning was installed on the beach side deck providing extended usage and comfort during hot sunny or rainy afternoons.
Step out the door on to the deck go down the stairs and you’re just a short walk away from one of the most beautiful beaches on the east coast. The tidal changes are amazing to watch and will enchant the family. Go for a swim or cast a baited line and enjoy!!
Our villa comes with an amenity card which allows access to the facilities of the Seabrook Island Club. This is not automatic as it had been in the past. If you plan to use the Seabrook Island Club's new pools and ocean side dinning, golf courses, tennis or equestrian facilities, be sure the property you rent provides an amenity card with your rental. All charges at any Club facility must be placed on your amenity card. When guests checks in, they will be issued an amenity card which will be linked to one of their personal credit cards. Cash or personal credit cards will not be accepted at any Club facility.
The Seabrook Island Club’s new pools, Pelican's Nest ocean/pool side restaurant and Island House dinning/golf club facility are open and spectacular. The SI Club pool offers a great fountain pool for the kids and an equally great pool for the adults. The new Pelican's Nest has very good food and the view/sunsets are outstanding! The pools and Pelican's Nest are open on a seasonal basis. The SC Club Island House is open year around. Also, the Seabrook Island Lake House offers a completed health club, indoor/outdoor pool, meeting facilities and library.
You’ll find the toughest decision will be whether to go out to dinner in one of the excellent near-by restaurants, drive the 23 miles into Charleston for a superb dining experience or just go to Newton Farms at the Seabrook/Kiawah circle, buy one of their terrific 'dinners-to-go' and watch the sunset from the deck. We’ll bet on the deck!!

We just returned from a week at this beautiful villa. The views are spectacular, lots of dolphins and pelicans. Nicely decorated and comfortable. Everything we needed was there. The amenity cards are a real plus. Easy check in and check out. We will definitely be returning to this little piece of paradise. Seabrook Island is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing your home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful condo for four nights earlier this year. The first thing we noticed was the gorgeous view! From sitting on the couch in the living room, you can easily see out the back porch and see nothing but water. Within the first two hours of arriving, we saw dolphins playing in the water and a small family of deer running through the dunes! The condo was nicely decorated and the second bathroom was a nice touch even though it is only a one bedroom. We had no maintenance problems at all and the condo stayed very cool. The property was very clean and well-maintained. The kitchen worked great. From the back porch, there is a boardwalk that takes you directly from the beach - which is about 50 yards away. We thought having this access from the back porch was very convenient. We've been to Jamaica several times, and the Club pool that we had access to reminded us a lot of the all-inclusive resorts. There is outdoor casual dining at the Club and the food and drinks were phenomenal. The island itself is extremely natural and we saw wildlife anytime we went somewhere. Freshfields Village gave us many different dining and shopping options on the island. We were also a very short drive to Charleston. Check-in was easy and pleasant and the people were very helpful in getting us setup and explaining the amenities. Overall, this was a wonderful condo and location and we will definitely be returning soon. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice getaway!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

If you have a desire to pay for a vacation rental amenity and then spend hours of your vacation time waiting for the technician to show up and make repairs so you can use it, this is the place for your next vacation! Reservation/property manager is handled thru RESORT QUEST. Confusion with making reservations with RESORT QUEST and checking-in after 5pm, should have been our sign that RESORT QUEST was NOT customer-service oriented. On the third day of our stay we encountered a maintenance problem which we called into the after-hours maintenance center. 24 hours later - no response from RESORT QUEST and when we inquired, they reported they had done nothing in 24 hours to try and resolve the maintenance problem. We were informed by a RESORT QUEST manager that is was our responsibility to wait at the unit on the designated half day for the maintenance technician they obtained, which then required staying with the technician another 2.5 hours to get resolution. After 3 days, numerous calls to RESORT QUEST and encountering some unprofessional attitude that this wasn't their problem, we are happy to report, the problem was fixed. Overall the unit is comfortable and pleasantly decorated. Very quite except for some renovations underway in the next unit. King-size bed was comfortable. There are great views of the river. beach and ocean. We did not utilize the Amenity Card provided by the owner. Some TLC cleaning of the overall unit is definitely needed, especially in the bathrooms.Owner response: First, I want to apologize to our guests for the problems they had during their visit. As I explained to them in my follow-up email, I have used Resort Quest since I bought my villa in 2003 and this is the first complaint I have had with their service. We also used RQ as rental guest prior to buying our villa and always found them very customer friendly and competent. Regarding the check-in process, most management companies utilize lock boxes to distribute keys and information to arriving guest after 5PM until the “busy” season begins around Memorial Day. The maintenance problem involved our wifi service. Knowing more demands are being placed on internet connectivity; the week prior to our guest arrival, I increased the speed of our DSL line from 1.5M to 3M. The speed would have been increased at the beginning of their stay. I can’t imagine that the increase in speed would have any effect on the quality of the service or the failure with the wall jack or the splitter they experienced. But, you never know when it comes to IT issues. The main problem involved our guest communicating with RQ regarding the outage and when the internet vendor would arrive to resolve the outage. It has been resolved! I have spoken to RQ regarding their response time and feel very confident they are very aware of their responsibility. Regarding the “TLC” issues in my villa, let me again mention I have been a rental owner for eight years and have had many return guests. Our villa is very well maintained and RQ does a very good job keeping it in excellent condition. We arrived last evening and as usual, our villa was very clean.
