Cabarete East - great place!

Our vacation was great, we loved Cabarete and its surroundings. Cabarete's East property was beautiful, well kept, friendly staff and we felt safe at all times. The condo itself was very comfortable and with great space, the floor plan was split, meaning the living room was between both bedrooms and each bedroom had an in-suite full bathroom, which was great since it provided lots of privacy. We really enjoyed our stay and are already thinking on when to go back again. We loved the fact that the condo was close and far enough from the center of town. Close enough to walk to the grocery store, go to restaurants, and be with the crowd, but at the same time far enough to relax and have quite time and privacy within the property. Another great thing about the property was it's restaurant service, specially during those nights when you are feeling lazy and don't want to cook or go out. Like I said before, we really enjoyed our vacation and felt very comfortable. We are planning to make a second trip sometime this summer, and have lots of fun all over again.

Our family stayed at Alex's condo for three nights, December 26-29th, 2011. The owner is great at emailing promptly to answer any questions and set up your reservation. Cabarete is a favorite beach spot for us, and we enjoyed the Cabarete East complex because of it's quiet atmosphere and uncrowded beach. It is a great place for families and has many older couples living there. There is good security at the complex. The condo had comfortable beds, was clean and had most kitchen items you could desire. Plan on bringing all consumable items that you will need, on your way from town (soap, toilet paper,etc). We enjoyed the frozen drinks at the on site restaurant and the pool was refreshing after playing in the ocean waves. All units had great balconies and beautiful ocean views. The kids especially liked the quick walk down to the beach. Make sure you bring some boogie boards to enjoy the waves! A few issues we had: listing description was not correct in that there was no microwave, no cable TV, no working DVD or CD player, and the frame to the sofa bed was broken, so that those using it had to sleep with the 3 inch foam mattress on the floor. We also had a bathroom pipe break one night while there, which flooded all of the apartment, except one bedroom, with ankle deep water, soaking all the luggage, clothing, towels, bedding, etc. We had to do all of the clean up ourselves. We were reimbursed 1/2 of one night's rent for the inconvenience.

Recommended for:Families with teenagers, age 55+.

Alex's condo is great. Fantastic wrap around balcony with beautiful ocean view. Cabarete East is a well maintained modern condo complex. "Martini" bar at the property is a great convenience if you don't feel like going to town. Food is delicious and inexpensive there and atmosfere is great. It is a 20 minutes walk to town on the beach. Nice place!

We stayed at this unit for 10 days in February/March 2008. What a place! The condo was great: neat, clean, well equipped and very modern. Absolutely top notch service from the owner Alex from the time I first emailed my inquiry to him. All of my questions were answered promptly! We concur with the folks from Ontario that posted the review 02/2007, the condo was above and beyond our expectations!The wrap around patio was one of our favorite spots of the condo. The view is great and the free wireless connection via the restaurant/bar was excellent. With the almost constant daytime breeze, the patio was a great place to be after a full day in the sun! It was our first trip to Cabarete and we were looking for peace and solitude. We found it at Cabarete East. The complex was well maintained and safety was never a concern. The on site restaurant/bar Martini’s provided superb food and drink and excellent service on a consistent basis. The staff was accommodating and a lot of fun to be around. This condo is exceptional and was well beyond what we expected. The condo is BRAND new and very modern with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and tasteful furniture. The condo is very spacious and the layout made us feel as if we had our own space. The landscaping and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The pool was beautiful and very enjoyable. The property is right on a beautiful, sandy beach. The waves can be a little rough but the water is shallow. We had great fun in the water and enjoyed the privacy we felt when spending time on the beach. The small restaurant on the site was great. Great food, service and reasonable prices. Best calamari ever!! The distance from the condo to the main beach of Cabarete is nothing. Every day we walked along the beach right to the center of town...it was an enjoyable and easy walk. Cabs into and out of the main beach area are also very reasonably priced and easy to access. Overall, this condo and its location recieve rave reviews from us. We highly recommend it!
