LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!
This Cannes Vacation Rental apartment has the best of everything. Totally remodeled and oh so stylish and in the very best location possible. 30 meters from the Boulevard de La Croisette (the famous seafront promenade) and a 5-10 minute walk to The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès where you can attend International Boat Show, MIPCOM, TAX FREE, GARTNER, MAPIC, Mare di Moda, International Luxury Travel Market, MIDEM, MIPIM, MIPTV, MILIA, Cannes Film Festival, and Advertising Lions Festival.
This apartment will absolutely feel like home. You have almost every kitchen utensil you have at home and all the dishes and glasses you could possibly need. The owners take great pride in keeping the apartment clean and well furnished for their guests.
There are two large French doors (one from the living room and one from the bedroom) that open up to Rue Commandant Andre. It is not unusual to be serenaded by wonderful music during the dinner hour and during the summer there is often lots of music. Close them (and the shutters) at night and the sound and light become a distant memory.
There are two air conditioners units (one for the main apartment and one for the master bedroom which has its own private shower). Air Conditioning during the summer in Cannes is a MUST and we have two extremely effective units that will keep you comfy and cool.
The loft upstairs has one room with a fold out futon (actually comfortable) and its own full-size bathtub and sink. The WC (toilet) is downstairs off the living room. There is also an office/desk area to work from. YES there is BROADBAND available but please request it in advance. The cost is only E10/day extra.
SHOPPING! SHOPPING! SHOPPING!
Oh dear! The shopping is right outside of your door. Rue D'Antibes (the main shopping street) is 10 meters (seconds!) away and then of course you have La Croisette and all of the stores that will eat your credit card for a snack. If you can't buy - it sure is fun to shop.
There is a sandy beach here! Topless bathing is common but of course not a requirement. (Less common in 2011 it seems. Perhaps the skin cancer facts have made ladies less likely to bathe topless?)There is a casino nearby and restaurants galore.
Absolutely no car is needed. Boats, Trains, busses and your feet will usually do!. Train for day trips to St. Tropez, Monaco, Grasse and many other locations. Bus passes are only E15 for the week and get you most anyplace you want to go - even Nice.
This is a very popular location to those "in the know." Now, you can rent direct from the owner.
Daily maid service is available but not included in price quotes. Meet/Greet and Final Cleaning is extra. E500 Security Deposit required. (100% refundable)
We accept Paypal (tenant pays the fees), personal check (30 days prior to arrial) or direct bank transfer for this Cannes Vacation Rental. If the rental is booked and paid more than 30 days in advance, a USA personal check is fine. All prices quoted in Euro and are paid in USD.
If Cannes is not available check out our seafront location on Promenade des Anglais in Nice at VRBO apartment number 112843.
This apartment is now available for shorter term rentals.

Why the Owner Chose Cannes
Wouldn't everyone who could own a place in the South of France? Our Nice apartment was our very first "second" home. Cannes came closely after. Then we bought in San Francisco and finally Cape Coral, FL. We take great pride in furnishing these homes in a way that you won't miss a thing and be so happy with your decision to stay in an apartment instead of a hotel.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
There are two A/C units to keep you comfy in those hot summer months. I can't live without email so we have WIFI and telephone available for only E10/day. The television with CNN/BBC, etc., is included in your quoted rate. There are 45 restaurants in a on block area around our apartment. We are in the middle of everything here. Literally a 3 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the Palais (where the Cannes Film Festival is held).
Where congresses including the Cannes Film Festival are held. A 5-10 minute walk.
Rue d'Antibes is famous for great shopping! You can find some affordable items here but may want to window shop at La Croisette where a pair of shoes or a jacket could eat many credit cards for lunch
Owner's Map of Cannes
We are a family living in the San Francisco Bay Area who LOVE the south of France. We own this apartment as well as one in Nice. We visit often and what this means to you is that we take great care in the furnishings of the apartment to make sure they are updated, clean and complete. Our family is getting older (at least the kids are) so we hope to come here more and more often. We also own vacation homes in Cape Coral and an apartment in San Francisco.

This was our first time to Nice and Cannes – and our visit and each of the apartments were absolutely wonderful – we split our visit between this owner’s Nice and Cannes apartments. In Nice, we started each morning with breakfast on the balcony and ended each day with aperitif in the same location: with gorgeous views of the beach, Mediterranean sea and Promenade des Anglais. We easily took day trips to Eze, Cannes and Monte Carlo. And mastered the bus system to visit Vieux Ville, Cours Saleya, Phoenix Parc, Le Musee Messena, Matisse, Chagall and des Beaux Arts. We shopped at the local vegetable and fish markets and cooked in, and when we wanted to eat out there were several excellent options within walking distance, or via bus. In Cannes, the apartment was equally wonderful and accessible to transportation, the beach/ Promenade de la Croisette, restaurants and phenomenal shopping. Great for when the purchases started to accumulate – and required a quick drop off back at the apartment! Again, we easily planned day trips to Ventimiglia (Italy) and Monte Carlo and our return trip to Paris. We also loved shopping at the local flea/brocante market. Both caretakers were friendly, informative and helpful. Thank you for the option of staying in both of your lovely homes. Best wishes.
Owner response:Hi Susan, I am so glad that you had a great time When we as owners visit the Cote d'azur we always split our time between Nice and Cannes. That is the beauty of owning. For some reason I hadn't thought that others might like that same opportunity. While Cannes rents higher usually I offer it for the same price as Nice when guests chose this option. I added this "offer" to our information that I send out with requests and you were one of the first ones to get it and you immediately decided to take advantage of it. I was so happy you decided to do it as I think it is the best of the French Riviera. I hope others think of this option and thank you for the kind review.

We stayed for one week in this cute apartment just one block from the Croisette. Excellent, happening location. Cannes is busy and bustling, but once we got into the flow, we loved it. Judy's apartment was very functional and well outfitted. Considering the location, it was quiet in the evening with the shutters closed and the A/C running. Some nights, though, we left the shutters open and watched the street scene right below. Loads of fun. Dozens of great restaurants all around the block and a daily outdoor market just up the street. A great experience. Ideal for two adults and two children.
Owner response:Dear David, So glad your family enjoyed your stay in Cannes. Reviews are so helpful and many of our guests are going to Congresses (such as the Film Festival) and simply don't post reviews. Thanks so much for posting so other guests know it is also a great place to visit with your family! We hope to welcome you back soon! Judy

Judy and Hervall Family.........Thank you so much for letting me call your property my "home away from home". I had a lovely week there exploring the other cities on the coast and traveling on the various buses like a native. It was a pleasure to come back to such a confortable place to rest and get geared up for the next day of travels. I am sure I gained 10 pounds on the restaurants and the "pain au raisins". Thanks again and I am sure we will connect again in the future. Best Wishes to you and your family.

We had the good fortune of staying at this location for 10 days in early July '09 and were very happy. The apartment is bright, clean, nicely decorated and the kitchen is stocked with enough equipment to make a meal if desired. Our two teenagers loved the loft. The location is superb. You are situated in the heart of where you would want to be in Cannes. You are surrounded by restaurants, stores and no more than a 3 minute walk to the beach. Two blocks away you will find a market that sells fresh fruit, vegetables etc. and there are patiseries, boulangeries and traiteurs across from the market. We ate fresh every morning after our walk to the market. Being in the heart of all the action also means there is more noise from the surrounding restaurants and bars at night but for us it was 'no big deal'. We would definitely come back to this apartment on our next visit if it is available.
