Thank you very much for allowing us to stay in your villa in Curacao. We were very impressed with the villa, and the view of the ocean is fantastic. I was mesmerized by the ocean, so enjoyed just staring at the massive body of water. It was very peaceful staying there. Thanks again for the welcoming basket. We had a great time on Curacao and enjoyed our stay very much. You have a lovely villa.

Enchantment Villa was all that it promised. Its location made it easy to travel anywhere on the island and the setting couldn't have been more perfect. We will re-rent this on our next scuba vacation to Curacao.

4 of us vacationed for 3 weeks in Curacao - which gave us enough time to explore, snorkel, and really relax. We found this property online; it seemed ideal for us and it certainly was. Lovely place, amazing view, good amenities, safe and secure location - and middle of the island so it's great to explore the whole thing. We are not resort or cruise-ship types - prefer privacy, quiet, and doing most of meal prep ourselves. Not interested in night-life or partying....well, there were all those empty bottles of Amstel Bright left, weren't there (!). But truly, it was the experience of a lifetime. We also snorkel and had a great time exploring the beaches from 15 minutes (Daai Booi Bai) to an hour (Klein Knip etc) away, on the same side of the island (quickly learned to avoid weekends and get there by 10am if possible even on weekdays for best spots). Found the Habitat Resort, which was down on the water from us, very nice and good for lunch or dinner; our property manager Heidi (she's GREAT) also told us about a little convenience/snack store (called a "toko") that was just 20 minutes away on the way to town - where if you get to know them they will prepare a special dinner around your request, of course inviting others (you only pay for yours) - we had a fresh seafood/rice meal that was one of the best on the island. A word of warning....not many roads are marked with signage - be patient, you'll figure it out! So thanks, Enchantment Villa team, for a beautiful place, very comfortable, and truly unforgettable time.

We had a great time at this property. All was as advertised, with a nice veranda/pool area. The TV (new HD) was having problems with the cable system. I think it was the cable not the TV. We really did not need it as we were there for the sun, sand, and sea. Do rent a car, explore the island and enjoy.

First let me say that all the info contained in the villa's description is accurate but like anything else you need to read between the lines. The villa is in a remote part of Curacao so if you want to be near town this isn't the place to stay. The roads to the villa are typical remote island access, potholes, narrow and do not drain well if there is any amount of rain. The statement about the tradewinds cooling the main part of the villa maybe true but the entire week we stayed they were non-existent. We spent many hours in the pool cooling off and in the bedroom with the A/C on.There are two fans, one in the ceiling over the dining table and a small stand fan for the patio. It would have been great to have ceiling fans on the patio and the bedrooms. The main bath has NO A/C so after a shower it doesn't take much to start sweating. A vent fan would go a long way to help cool off the bathroom and remove odors. The other word to remember is natural surroundings. This also means many bugs, gnats, mosquitoes and any other flying insect you can imagine. Heidi, the property manager told us to make sure we picked up some bug spray and Off coils at the grocery store.Thank Goodness! The 5 minute walk to the beach may have been true if you are twenty something and don't mind the 75+ stairs that you need to hike up and down to get to the beach. The beach is another issue, it was under renovation during our stay and is for Habitat Hotel guests. You can pay a fee to use the beach (like most of Curacao) but from what we saw you are better off going to Porta Mari. The hotel restaurant was probably one of the best places we found to eat. (since it is a bit of a drive to town). The food was well prepared and presented very professionally. You just need to plan on spending at least two hours for dinner. Island time is in full force at this facility. Prices are reasonable and we never had a bad meal. Willemstad is about 20 min away on a good day and if you drive like the rest of the islanders. We averaged about 30 to 40 min on each trip. Overall this is a nice villa but it is off the beaten track and if you crave night life this may not be for you since it is a hike to get to town. Bottom line would we go back to Curacao, probably not. Aruba is by far the best island in this part of the world. I guess it just depends on what you are looking for in a vacation.

We stayed at Enchantment Villa from May 15, 2010 to May 29, 2010. Two weeks of pure relaxation. We want to thank the owner Peter & his family for allowing us to enjoy their vacation home. We also want to thank Don, the property manager, for his island hints. Our days started out like this: Orange and black birds are like roosters, they wake you up with their song. Then, turn on the coffee and have a seat by the pool. Watch everything come alive. Have a cup of coffee and a glass of juice, sitting by the pool of course. Fix breakfast. East breakfast, by the pool. Do dishes then get ready to go diving. Shore dive!!! Go back to the villa, get something cold to drink. Sit by the pool. Give the little yellow and black birds sugar. They are the entertainment. Fix lunch. Eat lunch, again by the pool. Lay in the pool. Take a nap. Listen to some music, BY THE POOL. Fix dinner and again, eat dinner by the pool. Do dishes. Watch the sunset. Incredible!!! Then, Night Dive!!!!!!!. Got back to the villa and fix a drink and again sit by the pool. Have another drink and then hit the shower and then the bed. Start all over tomorrow. It was the most relaxing two weeks of doing nothing we have ever had. Again, Peter, Thanks. Tommy, Claudia, Rose, & Steve
