  This is the second time we stayed in this pretty, upcountry cottage. It is in the lush and tropical part of Maui where you really get the feeling that you are living here. The grounds have gorgeous brightly colored flowers and there is a distant ocean view. The cottage is decorated with a lovely Hawaiian feel to it which makes it homey and very charming. A cool breeze blows through most of the day and at night. We hate to leave this lovely place!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

  Thank you! We had a wonderful trip to Maui. Did all the tourist things like a whale watch and the road to Hana. We liked your location. It made it so easy to go anywhere. Paia was good for food but we also liked the places close by in Haiku. Your home is so nicely furnished and comfortable. Thank you again Denise

  I arrived...... filthy bathroom...... oil and toothpaste and some other guys shaved whiskers all over the sink and counter. The mirror was splattered. The tub a mess...... The kitchen was not cleaned. The bed had dirty sheets on it....... the washing machine was full of dirty towels... and we were generously supplied with 1/2 a roll of toilet paper. So much for starting a romantic weekend with my Fiance! We tried for 5 days to contact the rental manager.... Ill publish the name in the next critique.... she could not be reached...... after 5 days we talked.... this place is not even wifi!! I needed that for work and have email from her saying its wifi.... she did not even understand what wifi meant..... a question I addressed as I was doing work in the evenings.... I have her confirmation yes its wifi... its NOT. we cleaned the place and did laundry.... we demanded a refund... I got xxx.... i paid xxx per week... plus she nailed me with a cleaning bill.... after we cleaned up a filthy mess to stay...... Plus... there are cock roaches.... or one big one that I killed the second night......in the bathroom running over the bathroom counter. .. all I want is my full refund for the week we were not there.... Ill never book this way again.... Ill fly there, stay in a hotel and shop for a place the following day....

  Owner response: My worst NIGHTMARE come true ..... Unfortunately this guest arrived at my home at 11:30 pm on Dec.29,2011 and emailed me that the tub was not cleaned ... I phoned him at 7 am [12/30] when I awoke to apologize profusely and inform him I'd arranged for a cleaning company (NOT the people who had "cleaned" on the 29th) to come and clean at 8 am OR as soon as he was ready. He did not respond to any calls, emails or texts during the entire day ... until 8 pm. when he informed me he was "on vacation" and did not have his IPhone on! I then told him that the cleaning co. would be there between 8-8:30 on 12/31 .. he agreed but complained that he was NOT HAPPY the door to the bathroom was in the master suite as his girlfriend's 14 year old daughter was joining them for the second week. When the cleaning co arrived he refused to let them in! And the issue of the condition of the home began to escalate and exaggerate over the next 5 days... he WANTED OUT. And that was all he wanted ... To get a two bedroom or a one bedroom with the bathroom accessible without having to walk thru their bedroom. Understandable under his circumstances. Anything I tried to do to remedy his complaints (via a daily barrage of texts to me) went ignored. I immediately REFUNDED his payment for the second week. I now have a professional bonded cleaning company. And I'll do everything I can to prevent anything like this from happening again! was ignored. I found myself in a no win situation.

  My husband & I stayed for 2 weeks (Feb/Mar) in 2010 and very much enjoyed the location of the cottage, primarily because it was within easy driving distance of the fabulous Pukalani Golf Course where we were able to take advantage of their twilight fees (which made the every day golfing for us very reasonable indeed!). We had difficulty finding the cottage initially because of a delayed flight which resulted in searching in the dark! However, it was well worth the effort. The parking space we found to be a little awkward but served the purpose. The cottage itself was delightful and comfortable, with nice decor and a well equipped kitchen. It was great to be able to walk to the village and enjoy meals at the local restaurants. We also enjoyed being 'up country' and away from the more commercialized areas. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

  thank you for the perfect place to land as we arrived on maui to to take possession of our maui real estate! It was such a pleasure to come 'home' to your lovely cottage after the lng days of work preparing our new home for us ..... thanks for the flexibility for the extra day as well
