Why the Owner Chose Lake Leelanau
Our family loves Lake Leelanau, and has been vacationing here since 1995. For a long time, our girls thought "vacation" and "Leelanau" meant the same thing! After years of dreaming and looking, we were finally able to purchase our cottage in late 2006, and love having our own special place in Leelanau.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
Being on Kelenski Point means we have a beautiful, peaceful setting with fantastic views of the lake. We are close to all our favorite spots (Fishtown, Suttons Bay, the Dunes Lakeshore), as well as Traverse City, with its more urban vibe. Really, it's the best of both worlds!

Our stay here was awesome! We enjoyed everything about our vacation on Lake Leelanau. It’s very clean and comfortable and has everything you could ask for and more, in a vacation home. The lakefront is such a beautiful site and provides plenty of activities. Definitely recommended!!

Leelanau Lookout provided the perfect location for our extended family while we enjoyed an awesome show of fall color and an incredible wine tour! The pictures provide a very accuate view of the cottage; however, it exceed our expectations in every way. We've rented from many home away or vrbo owners and this is one of the best. The cottage was exceptionally clean and well maintained indoors and out. This is the first homeowner who freely offered the use of condiments, laundry soap, etc. We came prepared and didn't need to use anything but the thoughtfulness and willingness to share is another example of exceeding our expectations. As we seriously consider making our wine tour an annual family event, this home will be our first pick!

Cedar is a great location on Leelanau peninsula. Centrally located, close to everything. The house exceeded our expecations. It was clean and very well-kept. Swimming in the lake in the backyard was great. It was kind of rocky near shore; recommend water shoes; not bad though. Nice backyard area for playing with the kids. We would recommend this rental to a friend. We will probably go back next year.

What a great place for a family vacation, there was 11 of us and we also rented the vacation home next door which worked out very well. We had lots of yard space for outdoor games and the grandchildren really enjoyed the rumpus room and the boats. The vacation home was very clean and well maintained and had all the amenities and comforts of home, we loved the area and would consider returning for another visit. Thank you for making this a wonderful vacation. John & Kathy Broadview Hts OH

We had a great visit to Leelenau Lookout. We were there in October for some wine tasting. It was in a great location for visiting wineries. There were 3 couples and we had plenty of room. It was very clean and well maintained. Betsy answered all my questions quickly and even provided extra tips. I would definitely recommend this to everyone and we are in fact trying to figure out when we could go back. It would be awesome in the summer.

We just spent a weekend at Leelanau Lookout and it was fantastic. It was much bigger than I expected and had plenty of room for 3 couples. It had all the amenities we could need. I loved having WiFi. It was in a great location for wine tasting. Betsy always answered all my questions and provided lots of tips and suggestions. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, in fact, we were already trying to figure out when we could return. It would be awesome in the summer.

This is a bright, cheerful cottage with lots of room, great sleeping for 8 and a wonderful master bath. The kitchen is roomy and well stocked. The deck facing the lake is big with table and chairs and a picnic table and grill. There is a nice grassy area for playing outdoor games, and a rowboat and kayak for enjoying the lake. Suttons Bay, Leland, and Northport are short drives, as are all of the other wonderful attractions on the Leelanau Penninsula. A great place for a family getaway in beautiful northern Michigan. We would recommend it to anyone!

I took 6 girlfriends up north for a weekend away and it couldn't have been better! The house very comfortably slept all of us with beds left over. No one felt isolated, but they could get "away" to nap or read or whatever! We watched movies, cooked in the open kitchen, sat around the big kitchen table, relaxed on the deck, and even had a bonfire. Suttons Bay and Leland are 10 minutes away and we also went into Glen Arbor and Traverse City. I highly recommend Leelanau Lookout for anything from a weekend away to a whole summer away!

We have traveled with our family extensively, to many areas, however the Lake Leelanau region has always been one of our favorite destinations. This was our first stay at this property and I can honestly say that it was everything the owners said it would be and then some! It was immaculate, well equipped, and very bright and spacious. We felt that the location was good as well--quiet and relaxing, yet within close enough proximity to many attractions. We would recommend renting a boat (or inviting a friend with a boat!) to really maximize the enjoyment of staying at this property, since the lake is large and beautiful. It was nice to have the rowboat for fishing. This is a place we have told many friends about and would definitely recommend. The owners provided exceptional customer service and seem to go out of their way to assure that summer renters enjoy their stay. We hope to return again next year.
