This newer house is fabulously located. A short stroll takes you to the famous Rathtrevor Beach and Park, the world renowned Grotto spa, and great restaurants. Many parks, family activities, and artists studios are nearby. The Sand Castle
Competition is a must see. Another type of beach may be found at one of the nearby golf courses.

A central location gives you many options for day trips.

Visit the "Goats on the Roof" farmers market in Coombs just 10 minutes away. Victoria, the capital of BC is 2 hours away. Mount Washington ski hill and mountain biking area, just 1 hour away. The not to be missed Tofino with it's magnificent "Long Beach" on the west side of the island is 2 1/2 hours away, or shop 'til you drop in Nanaimo, just 20 minutes away.


Relaxing in our tastefully decorated previous show home is definitely an option.

A livingroom with gas fireplace with a view of an old growth forest, covered deck with the same view, and a loft upstairs offer great places to curl up with a book and a glass of your favourite beverage to unwind and take yourself away.

Any way you look at it, this is a great place to stay.

    • What an outstanding vacation rental!!!! Your search is over if you are looking for a spot to stay in Parksville. Our children (age 6 and 9) never were without anything to do!!! Dana has her vacation home well stocked with games, videos, and beach toys. The location is second to none with the mini golf and pool within a minutes walk. Upon entering the home I could tell that we were going to love it here. Everything is CLEAN and in such outstanding shape. It was like we were booked into a 5 Star hotel. Thank you Dana for sharing your vacation home with us. We look forward to returning for another visit!!!

    • My sister, my two small children and I just returned from 4 days/3 nights in Parksville and loved having Dana's cottage as our home base. The cottage is nearly brand new with beautiful furnishings. We were surprised by the numerous thoughful touches that Dana included--from beach toys and milk for the kids to DVD's, bathrobes and a bottle of wine for the adults. The cottage is walking distance from the beach at Rathtrevor Park and convenient to many tourist activities. We spent one day exploring the area to the north and west (Cathedral Grove, Coombs Market, Morningstar Farm) and the next day exploring Cowichan Valley to the south (Cowichan Bay, Merridale Cidery, wineries.) After each daytrip, it was wonderful to come back to our own cottage to relax, make dinner, and use the community pool and hot tub. There was plenty of space for all of us to sleep--my sister used the comfortable hide-a-bed in the loft and we brought a travel crib for the 8 month old. If you are looking for a clean, quiet, and well-appointed place to relax as you explore Vancouver Island's east side, this cottage is a great choice.

    • What a wonderful cottage for our anniversary. Dana had everything ready and waiting for us. We stayed for a week and were as comfortable as if we were at our own home. Having the BBQ and deck just added to our comfort. The property is the perfect distance from town and close to parks and walking trails. We can't hardly wait until we can come back again.
