Just behind the curving waterfront of Key West's picturesque harbor lies the 19th century Historic Seaport District of this once great trade center. It is here where grand wooden homes built by seafaring merchant's line the narrow island streets punctuated with blocks of white picket fences with capital posts. Today the history of this unique architecture is often under-appreciated.
This Spectacular large estate home is a beautiful representation of Key West - Bahamian architecture, and a center piece of this Old Town Key West neighborhood. Built as a 19th century single family, a recent renovation completely restored the original exterior of the house and modernized the interior to divide it into 3 spacious upscale suites.
The interior renovation was thoughtfully re-designed to create a luxury private inn style vacation residence for families, corporate groups, or smaller groups that want to be in the same location, yet have their privacy. The entire interior of this Old Town Key West property was given an upscale make over. Into the charm of this spacious Victorian home, the interior designer introduced new bamboo hardwood flooring, travertine marble tile, granite counter tops, ambient lighting, high end appliances and fixtures, and contemporary island furnishings and appointments.
The new modern layout was designed to function ideally as a luxury accommodation for a larger single group, or as the perfect configuration for a smaller group who appreciates more space and privacy, but want to be together in the same home. It also has an added advantage of 3 separate galley style kitchens!
