la Villa is a large Century villa set on the lush hillside of the Sorrentan Peninsula facing Capri, on one of the prettiest coastlines of Italy.

The villa is ten minutes from Massalubrense, land of the mythical Ulysses and the Syrens, where history, art, culture and tradition meet. Natural walks through ancient villages, lemon groves, century-old olive groves and Mediterranean bush, all set against a background of incomparable view!
Within walking distance there is a charming hamlet with a small shop& two good restaurants.
The access to the villa is by a very narrow road and the large car are not recommended.
Massalubrense is a virtually triangular in a shape –its north-eastern side borders with Sorrento, whilist the other two side are formed by the gulf of Salerno and the Bay of Naples, with Punta Campanella at its vertex, facing Capri.
There are 17 villages which have developed from the ancient hamlets and are still linked by an intricate network of paths, mule traks and lanes as wello as by the main roads

Massa Lubrense is an ideal place for a great holiday, more than 100 km of marked trails in the country side, country landscape, famous for its cuisine (7 restaurants in the top 20 of Campania, one of the best 3 in Italy), a coastline almost 20 miles long in the middle of the Protected Marine Area of Punta Campanella. The shores of Massa Lubrense are the closest to Capri (only 3 miles away) and you can reach Positano (13 miles), Amalfi (25 miles), Pompeii (21 miles), Ercolano (28 miles), Vesuvius (30 miles) and obviously Sorrento (3 miles) in less than one hour.

Wonderful stay at Villa Erca

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Erca so much! The drive in from Maria Annunziata is VERY tight and difficult but we mastered it after a few times. The family is gracious and friendly yet discreet. The photos from listing are accurate so we knew what to expect. Our apartment was 'Capri' and the small spiral staircases were a bit scary but manageable. The location is perfect for exploring the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Massa Lubrense and Capri. The only negatives were: small shower, 'driveway' and mosquitos-- but the charm and beauty of the villa outweighed all negatives!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
