Location: Cannon Beach, Northern Coast, Oregon, USA (7 miles South of Cannon Beach, 90 minutes from Portland.)

Accommodations:  Beach house, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath (Sleeps 4)

The house is located in Cove Beach/ Falcon Cove (the area is know by both names). Falcon Cove is 7 miles south of Cannon Beach just west of Highway 101. It is a beautiful area, gravel roads, lots of woods - very quiet. The house is small about 800 sq. ft. There is one bedroom with a Queen bed and a smaller second bedroom with a trundle bed (twins). The home is the right size for 4 people unless the kids are small and can share a twin.

The beach is rocky with lots of tide pools and sea creatures on the south end. At low tide there is a nice sandy beach - you can walk to Arch Cape - great rock formations.

The house has a microwave, washer and dryer for small loads. TV, DVD, VCR. lots of books and movies. There is a picnic table and small deck. There is a nice ocean view from the front window. The beach access is across the street from the house. This part of the Oregon Coast has spectacular rock formations and sea life. There are many inland hikes as well with old growth sitka spruce forests and waterfall features.

Falcon Cove Beach is surrounded by Oswald West State Park. The trail to Oswald West Park and Short Sand Beach is about 2-3 miles long. The ravines are bridged so there are nice hike for all ages. You can walk to the trail head from the house (steep hill) or park on the road at the turnout and go from there ( it is just a little west of Hwy. 101 on Falcon Cove Rd.)

The beach access is across the street from the house. There is sand only at low tide but there are great tide pools on the south end and at low tide you can walk to Arch Cape on the north end. The area is very private, even in the summer; there is a nice yard and woods around the house.

  • The cottage at Arch Cape/Falcon Cove is well and truly amazing! We spent a bit over a week at this magical location and are glad we did. The cottage is located in a brilliant, natural setting that allows youthe feeling of privacy without isolation. The sounds of the sea, the working fireplace, the natural surrounds all made for a truly memorable stay. And, the place is fully equipt with anything that a traveller could need. And whilst you're there, check out Manzanita, a fantastic little beach town nearby. If the wild Oregon Coast is your idea of fantastic, book in at Falcon Cove.

  • This cottage was a wonderful place to stay in a magical part of the country. The cottage itself was well equipped, the beds and living room were comfortable, and the fireplace and views were very nice. At low tide, the beach is a great place for a long walk to tidal pools at Arch Cape where starfish and other critters can be seen and touched. Sunset over the Pacific, and fog rolling in during the day, were over the top. We also saw a bald eagle on the beach. The short drive from Hwy 101 to the cottage was one of the more beautiful scenes on our trip to the coast. I hope I can come back!

  • He loved our stay. Our 2 boston terriers loved to run on the beach. The cabin is very cozy and comfy. The bed was very comfortable. Great location, affordable price, and we loved all of the amenities. In case of bad weather there is lots to do in the cabin with games, books and movies. It was a great vacation for a family of 3 and 2 pups. We loved the view and listening to the waves all night long. We would love to come back some day. Thanks.
