  Hi, You certainly cannot go wrong with staying at this wonderful "Great Escape" Beach get away. My bride and I could not get away for a long honeymoon so we decided on a mini-moon to Cannon Beach right after our ceremony. We were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of Champagne when we arrived. The house is very warm and inviting, fully furnished with everything one could need. All you need to bring are your clothes and food; there are plenty of places in the area to get fresh local seafood to bring back and cook in the kitchen. Or you can choose from the many restaurants in the area. There is a wonderful binder full of current information on where to go and what to do while in Cannon Beach. You feel like you are in your own home. We did not want to leave...

  This beautiful house has everything you need to stay comfortably with lots of thoughtful extras. The WIFI kept our teenager happy, the TV and DVD collection kept us all happy! Just a short walk through a wooded neighborhood to the beach was perfect. We walked into town several times as well. Our interaction with the owners was friendly, helpful and professional. Absolutely no complaints, only praise for this wonderful home in which to spend time with our family at the beach!

  This is honestly the most organized and cleanest VRBO property I have stayed at to date. We had a fantastic four days here over Thanksgiving and wished we'd booked a longer stay. Fenced deck and yard are great, house is comfortable and well-appointed, and the beach is a five minute walk up the road. The house has high quality furnishings, appliances, and instructions are available to answer all your questions. It is no wonder that so many entries in the guest book are from repeat visitors.

  Great location, great amenities, spotless, responsive rental process, reasonable cleaning fee. One note if your party includes older folks... Walking access to the beach was a little challenging for my 71-year old mom. The nearby dune is steep to crest, and the path along the creek was a little narrow for her to feel comfortable. After our first beach loop, which included the creek and dune, we drove down to easier access off Gower Street.

  We have just returned from our first visit to Cannon Beach and our first stay at the Great Escape. Our group included my husband and I, our kids (age 2 and 4) and my mother. This home met our needs perfectly! Between the wagons and beach toys, and the books and games inside, our kids had such a good time. Plus, the proximity to the beach made it easy for us to come and go from the beach with little kids. There are so many little extra things for little kids that are provided at this house, it made packing so much easier for this trip than other trips we do. We hope to come back again.

  The name of your rental should be changed from "Great Escape" to "Fantastic Escape" because it was definitely better than great! Wonderfully located, easy walking distance to town and the beach. Very well stocked home for grown ups and our little ones (including the dog). We can't wait to go back!

  As part of a vacation from England we were looking for a location on the Oregon Coast during our visit to family in Portland. What a gem we managed to find! The Great Escape provides firs class accommodation in a wonderful location. It is comfortable and welcoming and very well equipped with everything you will need. It is spotlessly clean and all items provided are very good quality. We would wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation to anyone who is looking for excellent quality. The property is very child friendly as proved by the fact that our grandson did not want to leave! We found Sandie and Bob to be most helpful will all of our planning needs.

  Driving up from Canada, I was a bit apprehensive. We've experienced other rental properties with varying degrees of cleanliness and comfort. This property does not disappoint. It was scrupulously clean, and was stocked with everything imaginable. Lots of games, videos, books, and the covered child's wagon was perfect for our two year old. Beds were comfortable with lots of extra pillows and linens. We found the walk to town and beach both shorter than expected and enjoyed strolling to look for the elk herd and rabbits. I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone.
