This amazing loft-apartment is located on the east side of MONTMARTRE, rue Cyrano de bergerac, in the same building as "Femis", the Paris movie university. It is built in the former "Pathé studios", the French "Universal Studios". The "Napoleon" movie from Abel Gance had its first scenes shot in this apartment.
One of the many charming stairs of the hill takes you directly to the Sacre-Coeur church, its gardens and the Old Montmartre village. On the south lies the “Abbesses” trendy district. North, one reaches in minutes the famous “rue du Poteau” market.
Transportation is easy : the “Lamarck” subway station stays at 3 min walking distance. Most interesting Paris spots may be reached in 15mn.
The apartment loft :
The apartment is charming. It is large : 1080 square feet (100 m2). The building has a wide private courtyard and a care taker. Location is very quiet : the street is not a through street. Last point, kids may play safely outside.
Lighting is full of contrast. Part of the apt is warm and shady, whereas the artist's studio is filled with extragant light thanks to its glass ceiling.
The furniture is “exotic”, a mix a French, Asian and Oriental style. The layout offers a wide area serving as dining room, kitchen, entrance and fire place, a master bedroom including bathroom (see fancy bathtub), a comfortable sofa lounge where one may also watch TV (1 or 2 person can sleep on single beds), and a large artist studio with 5 m high glass roof which also includes a showerroom (the orange sofa open and sleeps 2).
As a bonus, Phone calls to land lines in France, and to US, Canada and australia are generaly free. It is also true for more than 50 countries. More over, calls to cell phones towards specific countries (often US & Canada) may also be free. Ask us for detail as it may vary with time and policies of operators.
This apt is used 1 month per year by its owner. A “care taker” lives across the door. She will be helping on any issue. All our guests have enjoyed this convenience very much.

Montmartre is a village within Paris: it combines the atmosphere of an ancient village with trendy shops and fabulous restaurants. Many artists and movie stars live in the district. It is a very charming and restful area to be appreciated after a whole day shopping and walking through museums.

The Champs-Elysees is only a ten-minute Metro ride, the Eiffel Tower, Le Marais, Les Halles, and Saint-Germain are all between 15- 20 minutes from Abbesses or Lamarck subway station

We just returned from a family trip to Paris. Since there were 4 of us, renting this loft was a much better deal than getting two hotel rooms. The apartment was very roomy, unique and in a nice Parisian, non-touristy neighborhood. If you want to live like a real Parisian, this is the place to be! Short walk to Metro and bus stations. All of the amenities were provided and the owner was easy to work with. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby and a great bakery on the corner!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

I had a wonderful stay in the coolest artists apartment in the montmartre part of paris. It felt just like home - fully furnished in a neo- bohemian style which I truly loved. Also, it was full of interesting things to read impacted with tons of cultural significance, like art, theatre and costume design. The best part of all, there was the giant skylight in the second room. Lisa

Nous avons passé une semaine sensationnelle à Paris. L'appartement rue Cyrano est magnifique, spacieux et chaleureux. Nous avons adoré l'ambiance, la déco... et la baignoire dans la chambre. Dormir sous la verrière du studio d'artiste... le pied! Le quartier est vraiment sympa plein de boulangeries, épiceries, restaurants à 2 pas. Et Montmartre... à quelques volées d'escalier! En ce qui concernes les formalités pour la location : rapide, efficace, clair et net.

We just returned from Paris after spending 8 nights in this apartment. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. It is at the end of a cul de sac. Very quiet. The neighbors were very nice and welcoming. They even invited us to their outdoor Wold Cup party. I would definitely stay here again. It was very easy to book and Jean-Noel was very helpful througout the process.

The apartment was so far beyond our expectations. It was well equip with appliances , decorated stylishly, clean, and spacious. It truly had a warm and inviting feeling like a home away from home. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and we felt truly Parisian staying there. The corner Patisserie saw me in the morning and the evening and the owner and her sons were more than kind and helpful as my french is not very good. I am already planning my next visit and there is no where else in Paris I would be willing to stay. I am grateful to have had the pleasure to stay here on my holiday and I am thankful for your willingness to rent such a gem. Cheers,
