This was just what my husband and I wanted (and needed) for our week long vacation. Small but very comfortable and beautifully furnished. Rural setting was perfect for our morning walks; very close to Kiptopeke and Eastern Virginia Shore Nature Reserves. Nice private beach - sandy beach made wading and swimming very easy. Other plus: beautiful gardens outside the cottage. This cottage is perfect for two people and a romantic getaway. Also excellent for anyone interested in nature, bird watching, and exploring the villages off Hwy 13.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here. It was truly a wonderful weekend getaway. The cottage was attached to a much bigger home (which was astonishingly beautiful too might I add), but it was still very private. The kitchen had everything we needed, and having access to it helped us save a lot of money and enjoy home cooked meals together. The bed was very comfortable, and right in front of us was a sliding glass door with a wonderful scenic view of the bay. The only discrepancy we noticed was that the bathroom was actually a 3/4 bath, but it is certainly not a deal-breaker! ;) The beach was awesome, much more amazing than the beaches in Florida I grew up with. The water was calm and warm, the nature was well preserved and the sunset was perfect. Clelia left a complementary wine bottle on the counter for us. Even though we don't drink, we kept it for memory's sake. We do hope to return here again next year. It was the most relaxing environment and very romantic. Thank you for sharing a part of your home with us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My husband and I rented the cottage for three days in September to celebrate my birthday. Every thing was as described. The accomodations were lovely, the view was breathtaking and the hostess genuine. I would travel there again and recommend it to others.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.

There is no price on romance, but fortunately we don't take advantage of that! Low Prices All SeasonAll rentals, weekend and weeklong, require a 50% security deposit which will be returned upon inspection of property after departure. Thank you for your compliance. All guests, inquire about packages that include theater tickets, kayak rentals, go cart rentals and horse back riding. Art classes are also available! Make it a vacation that you not only enjoy, but you cherish for the rest of your life.This cottage is located on a property with another rental house. If you are interested in hosting a large event, you can rent both houses for accommodations for up to 16 people!
