If you are looking at a very unique property, this is it!
We designed this cabin for relaxing and getting away. The house is nicely furnished with all the amenities you would have at home, but in a natural setting. The views from the living room, master bedroom, screened porch, deck, and loft are all breathtaking. There is a 300 foot bluff across the river with a train track at the base. You can fish, swim, or just relax in the White River, which is right in the backyard. The river is a low water river most of the year and is nice and cold, perfect during the hot summer months. We have built a fire pit with firewood for those campfire type of evenings. The property has a 1 acre area out front that is perfect for a football or baseball game.
We have looked at several places to stay in the Mountain View area and found something we thought was missing. Most of the properties in the area are very rustic with little amenities. We wanted to combine the rustic feature with today's amenities, including features like internet and stainless steel appliances. There are several activities to do in the area that mostly have to do with the outdoors in the Ozarks. You can listen to bluegrass in town square, shop for antiques at the stores, or enjoy one of the many restaurants in the area. There are several guide services for fishing, horseback riding, canoeing, or hike in the national forest.
The Ozark folk center is within 8 miles of the cabin and Blanchard Springs Caverns are about 20 minutes away. There are an abundance of activities to do, and you can have fun knowing that you have an incomparable and comfortable cabin to come home to.

We decided to build this cabin because it would be unique to the area. It has a rustic exterior, with a modern and comfortable interior and is located right on the White River.

Since our cabin is located right on the White River, you never need to leave the property once you arrive. You can float, swim and fish on site, enjoying the quiet mountain views and wildlife.

The cabin was wonderful! We had great directions and upon arrival the cabin looked just like the photos. The cabin was clean and cozy, we felt right at home! We enjoyed the quiet and the view of the river. We really enjoyed Mountain View and everyone we met was very friendly. We would recommend this as a place to stay.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+.

Property exceeded our expectations. We could tell it was nice by the pictures and video, but they hardly do it justice! Everything is nice, new, and clean. The property is a bit off the beaten path - but that's the point! It was great to get away from everything and un-wind and they were great to work with. Highly recommend!

Cabin was clean and as discribed. Very quiet, lots of space outside and limited access to the river. Road the last few miles is terrible with deep washes and very limited grading. This river is used for power generation so the river is very high when it is hot.
Recommended for:Sightseeing.

My wife and I went to the cabin for a relaxing retreat. We had an amazing time watching the river go by. The amenities at the cabin were even better than it looks. We were able to use the internet in a remote area. The screened porch was perfect for grilling and relaxing. We will be going back any chance we get.
