MOORE HOUSE ON LAKE LURE

This beautiful professionally decorated custom-built home provides spectacular panoramic views of Lake Lure and the surrounding mountains. Numerous gathering areas offer private retreats in the shade or the sun. Enjoy the peace and beauty of Lake Lure from the large screened porch, the covered arched stone patio, the boathouse deck or the dock. Over 170 feet of shoreline offers unusual privacy. The swimming area has steps leading into the water. 2 Liquid Logic kayaks, a peddle boat and an Old Town canoe are provided along with lifejackets, floats and paddles.

A private 6 seat hot tub overlooks the lake with an awesome view of the lake and mountains.

This home is conveniently located within walking distance of the Lodge on Lake Lure and the Lake Lure Municipal Golf Course and less than 5 minutes from a new Ingles Super Market. Off street parking at the main level easily accommodates 5 cars. Located on a point, the home has impressive lake and mountain views from every room. As you enter the main level you will find a modern fully equipped kitchen with bar seating for 6 and an adjacent formal dining room with seating for 8.

The living area has a large stone fireplace and a 16 foot vaulted western cedar ceiling. An eight foot high double patio door expands the living area to include the large screened porch with magnificent views of the lake and mountains. The master bedroom suite with a king size bed is also located on the main level. The master bath has a walk in shower as well as a Jacuzzi tub and a private balcony. The two bedroom suites on the lower level each have their own full bath and patio area. One has a queen size bed and the other has twin beds. All three bedrooms have wonderful lake and mountain views. The bunk room has 2 sets of bunk beds and many board games, books and videos. The pool room is also located on the lower level with a second stone fireplace and an 8 foot regulation Brunswick slate top pool table. There is also a second fully equipped kitchen on the lower level.

A majestic 21' x 33' arched stone patio area provides a great escape for reading a good book or relaxing with family and friends. There is also room for sunning or enjoying a warm fire on a cool mountain evening in front of a large stone outdoor fireplace (firewood is provided). This is a favorite spot, rain or shine, for enjoying the mountain breezes while watching the lake activities. The stone patio also has a built in bar sink, Ducane gas grill, dining area and a 6 person hot tub.

We really enjoyed everything this house has to offer, plus the amenities, games, internet access, boat house, hot tub, barbeque, etc. The pontoon boat is rented for a very affordable price and ran great. We'd love to come back. John Moore is an exceptional host and we appreciated his personal attention.

  • This home is fabulous. There is not a bad seat in the house. The porches and patios provide great views of the lake, and the outdoor fireplace and grilling area are great for family meals under the stars. We've stayed many placed in Lake Lure, and this is the only one that we plan to return to yearly. Love the paddleboat and canoes, and the little ones loved fishing from the docks. This house provides lots of space to spread out and enjoy the lake and time with family/friends.

  • This awesome lakefront home was everything displayed here and more. Our group consisted of 4 children and 4 adults and we all were thrilled with the house, the lake, the paddle boat, kayaks, etc. The house was as beautiful as the pictures show and very well stocked with everything you would need. (More than we have ever had at a vacation rental home.) The owners were very accomodating and helpful with any questions that we had. We took advantage of a boat rental and were able to tube and ski - that was fantastic as well. The service picked our family up right on the dock. We look forward to the next chance we have to rent the Moore House.

  • This was truly paradise! This home was perfectly situated on the lake and was large enough that we didn't ever feel crowded. In fact, there were so many porches, decks, reading nooks etc. that we sometimes lost each other! The owners did an outstanding job with all of their personal and welcoming touches. This was by far the best vacation home we've ever rented!
