I recently traveled with my husband and son to Maui had a phenomenal stay at this rental property. The place was absolutely beautiful and within a quick walk to downtown Paia (a true surf town with great food, shops, locals, coffee shops, yoga, surf shops and an impressively large health food grocery). You definitely felt like a local instead of a tourist and I can't think of a better place to rent. The rental unit had an gorgeous, modern fully equip kitchen, a quiet bedroom and lovely accents and extras to make our stay a little easier. The rental process was seamless and we had a great experience. Thumbs way up!

This is a very nicely updated Unit near the artsy town of Paia. Given what we spent for the stay it was a good value, but there were some things to be aware of. The unit is not checked on and maintained regularly. For example, light bulbs burnt out, batteries needing replaced in the remotes, ceiling fan needing maintenance and dull kitchen knives. It was also very frustrating to have eight remotes and not know which goes to what and that half of them don't even work or belong there, also two DVD players one of which doesn't work. Instead of frustrating your guests, get rid of the nonworking electronics! The bathtub had not been thoroughly cleaned (we were given a credit on our cleaning fee) The owner was very responsive and took our concerns seriously. She was easy to get a hold of by phone, text and email. Also one of the previous reviews it says the yoga studio is a 4 minute walk away which was one of the selling points for me to which I was disappointed to learn it is a 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk on a busy street. Once we spent a good amount of time clearing up our issues and concerns we were able to settle in, realize we get what we pay for and enjoy ourselves which then we fell in love with Paia and the nearby beach.

This place took a bit of searching, but the experience I found was more than I had dreamed. The elegance of the unit and location made it hard to want to leave to go exploring. A 3 minute walk to the private beach was a daily do. The reef there forms a pool that buffers the waves. A perfect ocean experience. The neighborhood was a pleasure to explore after sundown. I always felt safe. The owners were so sweet and considerate in their dealing with me . The kitchen, the sleeping arraignments, the beautiful lanai terrace, the comfortable living and eating space, the fabulous lighting, with artisan touches everywhere were.sublime. The deep green Jacuzzi tube with the rain feature and dolphin tableau was something to be remembered always. Falling asleep in the main room while listening to the palm trees do their best impression of nightly rain felt like sleeping outside. No biting bugs. No noisy neighbors. Just solid and comforting peace. Waking every morning and looking up 10,000 feet to the top of Haleakala; there really are no words. I hope you've come far enough to read this review, you have stumbled upon one of the best places on Maui. Aloha nui, Nicole,

The condo was very clean and well stocked. Great location just outside Paia with a short path to a small tucked away beach. Wifi and cable was flawless and the Jacuzzi in the bath tub was a bonus. I can't wait to return!!

I spent to weeks at this condo and loved every minute! I can say that after the first day I felt completely at home! First off the condo had everything I needed, awesome kitchen, balcony, nice bathroom and good size living room space! Next was the location! I discovered a beautiful yoga studio literally about 4 minute walk away - my mornings started there and I was never late or in a rush for class because it was so close! Then decisions, decisions, which place to hop to next? I felt so close to all these cool spots - top surfing area where I sat back had lunch and took in the scene, or hop over to town to eat at yummy Mana Foods or the Mama's Fish House or take a drive up the coast? All so easy and accessible from here - I was just living it up and relaxing at the same time! And finally, the condo owner is really nice, accessible and extremely accommodating. This is the place to feel at home and relaxed!

Everything you need for a nice vacation was included in this condo. We had a fully equipped kitchen, close to a beach and were in convenient proximity to the Hana Hwy to get where we needed to go. We fell in love with Paia!!! The drive to Haleakala was no problem from here as well as the drive to the Maalaea dock. My only room for improvement would be that the bedroom is quiet small and bed is not good enough for my picky bad back. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

When we arrived we found out the place had not been cleaned. We left the owner a message and sent an email immediately and 2 days later she had not responded. We called her again and she reported that she had sent us and her cleaning person an email and that she suspected this was all from dust, hard water deposits and volcanic activity. We assured her that this was simple dirt as someone had not clean the tub, toilet, floors or counters in the kitchen. The owner's sister lives on the island and was going to come and inspect - this never happened. They did send a cleaning service over on the 3rd day and the place was partially cleaned. The owner reported that she would obviously not charge us the remainder of what was owed (and she did not) and would refund my last payment. We notified her to let her know that she should probably have someone evaluate the condo after a cleaning as the cleaning service obviously is doing as little as possible (owner lives in nyc). We received no response to 2 emails and a phone call. Of course, we received no further refund. As well, we reported 3 lights having no light bulbs (this included the bedroom and the balcony) and we were told they would be replaced. This never happened. No bedroom or balcony light all week. Also note that the place has nothing in it - there was 1 roll of toilet paper, no cleaning supplies for the bathroom, no paper towels or napkins and absolutely nothing of convenience for cooking (e.g., no oil, sugar, basic condiments). The place is empty. Also note - if you want to walk to town please remember that it is about 1.5 miles from town and there is no shoulder for the first mile or so. Not a big deal as long as you know. We would not stay here again -even at half the cost given the lack of responsiveness and lies by the owner. Very unfortunate as this has never happened to us before in our many , and varied, travels. She acted nice and liked she cared and obviously this is not the case.
