We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the end of March. The condo is spotlessly clean and super comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could want or need and the beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms are lovely. The pool area was wonderful and given the cooler weather at the end of March, we really appreciated that it is somewhat sheltered from the wind. Even with temps in the 60's, the pool area was very comfortable and enjoyable on sunny days. It was also easy and fun to take the pontoon 'shuttle' to the beach and Christina was very responsive. We love this area of the Florida Panhandle - far less crowded than the Destin area; the beaches are beautiful and there is a relaxed atmosphere in Santa Rosa Beach that we enjoy. We used the bike paths almost daily and visited restaurants such as Red Bar, Another Broken Egg and Local Catch and loved them all. We will definitely be back! Thanks for sharing your home with us!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

Dee Dee, I've traveled a lot, and this is one of the best beach vacations I've ever had! The condo was lovely...decor was soothing, luxurious, and perfect for relaxing. We especially liked the little extras you provided, like the spices in the kitchen and the well-stocked cooking items and dishes, the ironing board, the beach towels. I never thought I'd find a bed more comfortable than mine, but the one in your condo was "dreamy!" I could go on and on! We also liked the location within the building itself...ground floor and in a quiet area. The pool was just a short walk, and beautiful. The restaurants you suggested were great. We went to several you suggested; "Another Broken Egg" for breakfast or brunch was superb! We ate there three times and even bought their special coffee cups for remembering that great food! Bud and Ally's (seafood) in Seaside is a white tablecloth restaurant that we loved for an elegant evening, and the crabcakes were wonderful. From the smallest hamburger joints to the most elegant, the meals we had were all very good. Something we noticed while shopping and dining... everyone is so friendly! We shopped quite a bit at Seaside and nearby small boutiques, and bought a few things that we thought were special...and on sale. We didn't go to the outlets nearby, as we're not big on that. Even though we had rain a few days while there, we managed to get to the beach several times. We went to Seaside and walked that white, sugary sand for miles, looking at the ocean and all the beach homes. We also went to Rosemary Beach. The rest of the time we drove through the little streets at Rosemary Beach and Seaside looking at all the lovely beach homes. Because we're older, and not athletically inclined, we didn't take advantage of any of the sports available, such as tennis, bike riding, fishing, etc. Next time, I might want to try the bikes, though! Thanks again for providing a wonderful getaway for us. We live close by but wanted to get away for valentines weekend. We do this twice a year since we live where the most beautiful beaches are, we don't have to go far away to enjoy! This unit was more than what we needed, but it was on the lake, and close to the gulf, so we splurged! The unit was extremely clean, very well equipped, and accessible to the lake and gulf. The maintenance man Bob was very helpful in launching and storing our paddleboards, which if you haven't tried we highly recommend! We are talking about going back later with another family! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: I'm so glad you enjoyed your special getaway. My son just got a paddleboard last summer and the lake is a perfect place to use it. We hope to have you back again soon.

To say that my family and I enjoyed our stay at Sanctuary at Redfish #1107 would be an understatement. It is simply the best place we have ever stayed. The condo was spacious, extremely clean and better than advertised. Could not have asked for more in terms of condo amenities. The pool area was outstanding...four...yes...four pools with waterfalls, etc... The private beach is, in my opinion, the best I have ever seen. The fact that you can only access it by boat makes it feel even more private and getting to an from the beach could not be easier thanks to Captain Bob who does a fantastic job taking care of the guests needs. We will be back again and again and again. The owners are extremely easy to work with and make sure you have everything you need to make your stay extra special and your arrival and departure easy. Please take my advice and rent this unit...you will not be disappointed.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

The perfect location for celebrating a special occassion with 3 of my sisters and 3 friends! All the amenities one desires for a truly relaxing vacation (pools, hot tubs, large balcony, umbrellas/chairs, beach towels, board games and a laundry room--- to name a few!). Condo was well-equipped, nicely appointed and spacious (w/ 3-1/2 baths!). Beach was private---and yet, local shops, restaurants and activities were within a short distance. Reasonable rates! Our short ferry ride across the lake to the beach, provided the opportunity to make a new friend....kind-hearted, Captain Bob! We'll definately be back for anniversarys, reunions and more special occassions. Many thanks to the owners for the happy memories!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: So glad you enjoyed our place as much as we do.

We had a grand time! Place is beautiful. I left a note in your guest book, but wanted to let you know the that all the extra added details did not go unnoticed. Everything from letting us use your bikes, to having paper towels, coffee filter, dish soap etc. We have spent as much as $5000 for the week at more than a few of the houses on the beach. None have been as comforting and welcoming as yours. Your regular neighbors had nothing but good things to say about your family. And BOB! What a hoot. Came and found us and checked on us everyday. Wanted to bring him home. But instead, we are keeping his cell number on speed dial just so we can call him when we need some sunshine in our lives. We have NEVER had a Bob at any other place. Extra special toach. We will be back, no doubt. Thank you so so much for sharing.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We had a great time at your condo. What an amazing place you've got there! I just love the modern interior settings and the location of the complex right between Destin and Seaside where we planned to take our friends this time.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2008
About the owner: We are from the Atlanta area. We have 3 boys ranging in age from 11 to 4. They love the wide variety of activites this area has to offer.
Why the Owner Chose Sanctuary at Redfish:
We decided to buy in the Beaches of South Walton area because it was such a natural, peaceful setting. We also love the bike paths and the many areas that we can safely bike with our kids. It is much less crowded than Destin or Panama City while still enjoying the same beautiful beaches. We also love that all the restaurants are locally owned and it's easy to walk around in the village type settings.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We chose Sanctuary at Redfish because it is a gorgeous property with beautiful amenities. The condos are luxurious and comfortable. The pool area is like a tropical oasis. The four pools give you plenty of choices. The zero level entry pool works great for younger children just learning to swim. In the winter one of the pools is heated and there are 2 hot tubs. It's so unique to have the lake. My boys love taking the boat across to the beach and they play for hours in the shallow waters hunting for fish and crabs. It is very uncrowded and a beautiful setting.
