Quietly nestled on over an acre, Tesoro is at the end of a cul-de-sac. Yet, resort activities are minutes away--the slopes, tubing park, hiking trails, tennis courts, swimming pools, and the spa, to name a few.
Tesoro's spacious first floor features a stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings and two separate sitting areas. You choose whether to snuggle up with a book in front of a cozy wood fire or lounge on over-sized leather couches in the entertainment area with a large flat screen TV, BluRay DVD, CD player, iPod station and Play Station 2. Take pleasure in being together while having separate space for relaxing, sleeping and doing your own thing!
Two well-appointed master suites, both with king beds, overlooking the golf course, can accommodate multiple families vacationing together. The main floor master suite opens onto the large deck and has an adjoining bath. The second floor master, located on the opposite side of the home, includes a deluxe bath with soaking tub and separate shower, and TV /VCR. Two other bedrooms and a full bathroom are accessible by a private staircase and are perfect for couples with children. A queen-sized bed and golf course views complete the first room while the second room has two twin beds and serene nature views. Having three completely separate and private sleeping areas allows everyone to enjoy privacy!
Calling all cooks! Chefs will love the open and airy, fully-equipped kitchen replete with granite counters, wine refrigerator, bar stools, and French farm-style dining table seating 8-12 people. Grille dinner on the outdoor grille and smoker or toast each other under the stars while enjoying a meal on the deck. This beautiful, well-equipped home provided my family a wonderful Easter Weekend! The layout is perfect for couple privacy and the kitchen is stocked with all the necessities for home cooking. We arrived on Friday afternoon and before long we had a fire blazing, music playing, and spaghetti sauce cooking on the stove. The owner called us to make sure everything was ok and if we had any questions. We definitely recommend this property and will plan to return again soon!Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is the third year in a row that we have spent a winter week with our little female pug, Bumper, and our five and half year old triplets at Tesoro. My wife, Jackie, and I cannot say enough about this beautifully furnished house (right down to paper towels and toilet paper) with a totally equipped and furnished kitchen, an excellent and fast WiFi, toys, games, Wii, etc. etc. Every bed is super comfortable with the most wonderful linens. The view just above the 5th fairway in this heavily wooded homesite is beautiful and the golf cart pathway provides for great morning/afternoon walks and then there is a fireplace with a big pile of stacked wood to make for a truly cozy, warm home afterwards. These are truly great owners who provide everything (just bring the food and liquids) and very much care that every detail of your stay is superb! And their management team are equally great as they came by during our second day to make sure we were happy and then lugged some wood up from the wood stack to place right outside our door. Plus, you are only a few minutes away from snow tubing, the ski slopes, indoor pool, and in my wife's words "One of the best Spas you can find." Six inches of snow arrived the evening before we did making this a very great winter getaway for my wife and I, our children and grandchild. Snow activities were fine and we had a warm fire burning throughout our stay. There were no issues with the fully outfitted home and our gang had wonderful sleeping accommodations. Tesoro was "as advertised" and the owners called to check to see if we needed anything as did the property manager who stopped by. If you are planning to go to Wintergreen Resort, Tesoro is a top notch and convenient choice that we'd recommend to others. .Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

The house was lovely and very clean. The kitchen is fabulously stocked with everything you can imagine. The beds are comfortable and the views from the house are really nice. They had great baby and toddler toys and tons of games for older kids and families. The layout of the bedrooms and living space was perfect for a family of 5, plus 2 sets of grandparents. We'll definately come back.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

The owners of this property are wonderful owners. They went out of their way to make this rental available for us. The first property we rented was sold. We do feel the property needs some attention to return it to it's former beauty. Wintergreen Resort was disappointing. The only busy place on the mountain was the spa. The spa was excellent and the staff attentive (three different treatments or three different days). We are confused how a tennis facility could receive a ranking as one of the top 25 and have so few players available to play. We did not participate in drills due to the fact we would have been the only ones in the drill. We had expected more activity on the mountain. This is a beautiful house in a very peaceful setting. Patsy, the owner, was very helpful in responding to questions and ensuring our ski weekend was a success. The kids were busy skiing and visiting the pool and hot tubs. My husband and I were able to enjoy a quiet morning drinking espressos from the Saeco coffee machine and enjoying the peace before heading out to lunch at one of the new breweries, Wild Wolf Brewing. I highly recommend this house.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We spent the Christmas Weekend at Tesoro and could not have more pleased with our great get-away. No detail was overlooked and it is obvious the owners have lavished plenty of TLC on Tesoro. I felt like a guest in their home rather than just a vacation rental. The owners had thoughtfully sent a table top live Christmas Tree arrangement for our stay. Other than our groceries, everything we needed for our stay was provided. Although there were only two of us with a tiny Yorkie in tow, the design of the house (bedrooms at each end with separate staircases and living areas in the middle) is ideal for two families or multi-generational groups and we hope to return for another stay.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

From the booking process to friendly checkout, our family had an amazing Wintergreen visit at Tesoro! Our two daughters and their husbands, two grandchildren, and our son home on military leave for the first time in eight months spent some quality time in our spacious accommodations eating lots of good food and sharing many laughs. We had family over for dinner(my brother owns a home on the mountain) so 20 of us had plenty of room and all were impressed with the comfort and 'hominess' of Tesoro. Patsy, I'm giving my sister your contact info - they have owned a house at Wintergreen previously and loved your place! This was our second time in the past year staying at Tesoro and like last February it was absolutely wonderful!!! We were hoping for some snow for our four year old triplets during the week before Christmas, but did not get it. But the kids still had the most awesome time seeing and climbing their favorite big boulders from months before, feeding the goldfish in a pond up the golf course, riding their tricycles along the golf cart path, and going to the indoor pool. As for Bumper, our pug, she has done nothing but sleep since getting home. And my wife Jackie continues to rave about her two trips to the Spa. If you want a beautiful, FULLY furnished house, a truly scenic and quiet setting, and the best owners you could come across… I strongly recommend Tesoro!!! We just spent Thanksgiving weekend here and had a great stay. It was especially nice to have the golf course closed so we could just walk out the door and take a long walk on the green. The furniture was comfortable and arranged in a way that made it easy to visit with family. The kitchen was a little small (for thanksgiving preparation), but well stocked and conveniently located within the sitting areas, so you could still enjoy family while cooking. The Master suite was great, with a king bed and large bathroom. The bedroom on the main floor has a double bed which is a little small for two people, but there was a queen upstairs and two sets of bunks. The deck was great! The basket of toys were a plus for our grandson to play with. Good tv reception and good wifi connection. Cell phone service was iffy, but it's that way all over the mountain...Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: We have 2 married daughters and 5 grandchildren who love to visit Tesoro. This picture was taken in the back yard last summer. We can walk to our choice of swimming pools, play on the golf course, hike, play tennis, go to the lake, or sit on the deck and cheer the golfers who pass by our house. Our friends love Tesoro -- we host several couples at a time with ease because each has separate sleeping areas and bathrooms. And nothing is more fun than sitting by the fireplace, or cooking a gourmet meal with a great bottle of Veritas wine from the award winning Veritas Vineyard close to Wintergreen!

When we saw the house the first time, we knew it was for us. It's wonderfully welcoming and perfect for families or several couples who want to be together, but also want privacy. It's nestled on a quiet cul-d-sac with one other house and is on the golf course.
