Tingalayas Retreat is a Private Compound offering you Peace and Relaxation on the hip West End of Negril. You will enjoy our four lush acres including one acre on the ocean. We can accomodate up to 16. Smaller units are available, please contact us for availability.
Comfortable and Elegant our property is decorated with treasures from around the world, tiles from Morocco, wall hangings from Bali, and lots of original art. You will be soothed by the beauty inside and out.
Upon arrival you will be greeted by Jube, a caring Rasta who infuses Tingalayas with his earthy vibe. After you are shown to your room your next stop will be the private white sand beach and ocean fed pool.
On calm days you can take the ladder right into the ocean and float. Chill around the pool, lounge on the beach, sleep in a hammock. As the days end enjoy the famous Negril sunsets in your own private vacation home.
Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or space for a family reunion, Tingalayas Retreat is for you. We can accommodate up to 16 of your family and friends. Please check our slide-show for more photos of our very special property.
Meals can be prepared by you or for you in our owner designed gourmet kitchen. Take your meals on the brick courtyard or in the traditional thatch roof dining room/lounge. We have ackee and breadfruit trees on the grounds along with mango, orange and lime trees.
When the weather cooperates we also have callaloo. Everything is organically grown.
When you have the desire to get out and about we can arrange a driver for you. We are close to many fine restaurants and also the famous Ricks Cafe. The 7 mile beach and it's reggae bars and restaurants are only minutes away.
We provide bikes for those who want to explore on their own. We are a short bike ride from Jackies on the Reef, a serene place to get a massage or have a drink at the organic juice bar. We can also arrange a massage for you at our place by Negril's treasure Oya Ozecan, a licensed physical therapist.

Our stay at Tingalayas Retreat was wonderful. It was everything I had hoped for my husband's 50th birthday celebration! Planning a trip for 10 people can be challenging, but from the very beginning you made me feel like I had chosen the right place. Every time I emailed you with a question, you supplied a prompt response. Booking over the internet was scary to me and with you, I always felt ar ease! As soon as I passed through your red wooden gate, I knew that I was going to be very happy at Tingalayas Retreat! The property itself is great- peaceful, relaxing and probably the best swimming I have ever experienced right from the privacy of our own patio. The caretaker,Jube is a real gem of a man and so is Boss, your other employee. They took great care of us, introducing us to their native foods and looking out for us. Our whole group really bonded with them and we all just hung out, relaxing, cooking, swimming and watching the gorgeous sunsets! You have done a great job making all the houses cozy and unique and the tropical landscape is beautiful. We loved where you are situated on such a quiet part of the road and we took several bike rides in both directions. We all felt very safe having Jube's watchful eyes on everything. I know that we picked the absolute best place to stay in Negril and I know that all of us want to come back!

I stayed at Tingalayas for 1 week in March of '09. It was a life changing experience! It is a place to get totally de-stressed and unwind in the natural beauty of Negril's countryside. The Ocean fed pool on your own private beach and the beautiful sunsets were absolutely breathtaking! I enjoyed the total peace and privacy of Tingalayas but also enjoyed Negril's night life. The cottages were beautiful and so comfortable. This is definitely the place to come to feel one with nature. I plan on returning as often as possible to this very special place!
