  We were very happy with our stay at your home. We came down for an small, intimate wedding with our family and close friends. We were able to have most of our family stay with us in the home. We also had food catered in for lunch. The kitchen was large enough to accomodate the food, staff and around 20 people. Three of the five bedrooms were extremely nice, and each had a porch attached to it. Local shops and the beach were only a short walk from the house. The Master Bedroom has a wonderful bed, and an amazing bathroom with just about everything you can ask for... (only missing a bathtub!) We had 6 children with us and they enjoyed the ping pong tables. If weather had permitted, they would have also enjoyed the pool. The home was very nice, and the pictures do not capture some of the quality. We are happy that this home will be a part of memories of our new beginning together!

  We had 4 adults and 10 girls on a Girl Scout Trip. Everyone loved your beautiful home! It was perfect. We could all be in the kitchen together, eat together and hang out in the living room. Plenty of showers and beds for everyone. They were several wonderful porches, but the weather was a bit too cold for us to use them or the pool. Less than a 5 minute stroll to the fantastic Sandy Beach and local shops. Just a great stay. Only minor issue was the dishwasher didn't seem to be working well, so we hand washed everything and then eventually bought paper products instead.

  Recommended for: People with disabilities, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  Owner response: It's simply wonderful to hear that 14 of you were able to all hang out in the kitchen together and that there were plenty of bathrooms and beds for everyone - we love the house for that reason. The Porches are one of our favorite things about the house as well. THANK YOU for pointing out the dishwasher doesn't work well. (I didn't know!) One problem might have been - if that dishwasher is opened after it's started, it MUST be reset by pushing START again - or it shuts down - leaving the next people to think the dishes are washed, when intact they are only just started - but, we have decided because of your review - and other people commenting on dishes with spots on them - TO REPLACE THAT DISHWASHER. We want clean dishes, and happy guests! Thank you so much for alerting us to this situation!!

  This house was a great place to stay. We were in town for a running race that started and finished just a block from the house. The race even went right by the house!! It was a very convenient location for any "in town" visits. My husband is handicapped and confined to a scooter. He was able to manage around the house well. The elevator was a REAL help!! One of the masters had a perfect area for a shower chair as well.The only thing I might would add would be grab bars in one of the restrooms and showers. Other than that it was the perfect house! Very accessible and comfortable for all of us to gather to eat and hang out!! The proximity to town also allowed us to walk there almost every day. My husband could ride his scooter there with us too. We would definitely consider booking it again in the future. Thank you Marsha for the offer to stay a little longer on check out day. That allowed us to make a final trip to The Breakfast Club..............a must for every visitor to Tybee. :)

It's odd that although I never met you in person - as with most of our guests - I do feel as if I know you - and what a great IDEA to put those safety bars in the Master Bath (the one with the extra large shower) and in the bathroom of that same Master bath! I'm used to accommodating people with small toddlers - and you are our first person with a scooter - so how grateful I am for this constructive feedback. And you are so welcome with a late check out! Anytime we don't have someone checking in right after you and the housekeeping is willing to rearrange their schedule - I love to give guests a 1 or 2 pm check out! It just makes life so much easier on the day you have to leave. And I'm thrilled to know that our home is on the actual "race" path! Thanks for this feedback. And we do hope you come back! We love people who love the house and share the details!

  We spent the weekend at the house with a large group of friends and family (for a vow renewal on the beach)...including those from six years old to those in their late 60's. When we arrived...we noticed the house was clean, well decorated and very appropriate for our needs. The elevator was a GREAT addition for those who had trouble taking the stairs as well as getting the bags/groceries up and down. The location was great...very close to shops and beach. The owner was very easy to work with throughout the entire process and responded to any questions or concerns in a very timely fashion. We would definitely stay here again...and in fact are already talking about future plans to do just that! The only complaint if any (and it isn't about the house)...is that the little IGA grocery store on the island...is in no way prepared for big groups and their grocery needs!!! We were quite the spectacle with two over full grocery carts....but the employees were great...just amazed at the size of our purchase. All around great weekend!!!

You have also touched on the one tiny store on the Island, however, on the way to Tybee, about 20 minutes away on Whitemarsh Island, is a big Publix and Walmart. I will encourage future guests to do their shopping there. I'm so happy the Elevator helped you with all your luggage and groceries. We are thinned you liked the house!

  Our family of nine had a really nice Christmas in this lovely house. The large, modern kitchen was well stocked for cooking Christmas dinner. The house also had lots of seating for hanging out together, watching tv and just relaxing. The elevator really came in handy for loading and unloading. Great south end location and lots of porches!

  The property was as described with normal rental property wear and tear. It was spacious for our party of 6 adults and 1 toddler. The accommodations were comfortable, providing a nice ambiance to sit back, relax, and enjoy one another's company. I would describe the home as toddler friendly and the owners thoughtfully provided a gate to block off the stairs. The home had easy (walking) access to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The owner was easy to work with, accessible, and responded promptly to all communications. If you enjoy Tybee Island, I would highly recommend renting this home.

  Great place for a large group. Nice open family space to hang out with lots of people. Within walking distance to shops, restaurants and the beach. Owners are very nice and accommodating.

  Our family of 14 from NJ, MD & FL, ranging in age from 2 to 65 really enjoyed Tybee Island Joy. The location was perfect and within walking distance of restaurants, beach, pier, shopping and bars. The accommodations were top notch as well, with plenty of room for all. We enjoyed everything, including numerous decks, spacious common area, inviting pool, well-stocked kitchen, and ping pong table. The owners were also very responsive and helpful to the very few questions we had. We would absolutely return in the future!!

  We just returned from Tybee Island Joy and our family of 19 (ages 1 - 83) had one of the best vacations we ever experienced! This house is AMAZING! From the backyard pool to the fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms & laundry. Not to mention the little "extras"... pool toys, sand toys, and beach cart. A short walk to the beach, shops & restaurants made this beautiful home perfect. We also liked the fact that the lighthouse, forts & Savannah were a very short drive away. One hint...there are no wheelchair rentals on the island, but we found a rental facility in Savannah that rented chairs by the week. (a huge help with Mom (83) while touring Savannah). We would DEFINATELY recommend Tybee Island Joy and would rent this house again in a minute.
