The Optimum Cedar cabin is located on Patoka lake in the rolling hills of Southern Indiana. We have 44 acres to hike and enjoy wildlife. Summer is all about the lake whether renting a boat or jet ski or just swimming. We are 4 miles from the Newton Stewart State Recreational Area which has a sand beach for swimming and an awesome visitors center with hiking and biking trials and ranger led activities. The in ground pool is always rejuvenating after a fun game of volleyball, pitching horse shoes or playing baseball in the sports field. Winters are just breathtaking when the ground is covered with a white blanket of snow. Join us in January for the annual Eagle Watch. If you like color Patoka 4 Seasons has spectacular Fall foliage.
Need more excitement? How about cruising down the lake with a skier in tow, experience a train robbery at the railway museum, snow skiing/snow tubing at Paoli Peaks, walking through Marengo Cave or canoe the Blue river with Cave Country Canoes. Any season is right for a trip to the French Lick Casino or tour the historic West Baden Hotel. Holiday World and Splashing Safari theme parks are just 25 miles away. What ever your interest is Patoka 4 Seasons Resort is located close to where it is happening.
Not feeling that energetic? How about curling up with a good book in front of the fireplace or just soaking in your hot tub on the privacy of your deck.
To end your perfect day, You will be mesmerized by the thousands of stars in the sky and the only sounds you will hear are the crackle of your campfire and owls hooting off in the distance.
