Dream Maker Cottage is a 5-bedroom, 3.5 bath Soundside home located in the lovely subdivision of Cottages at Bay Ridge which offers use of a community swimming pool and clubhouse. Cottages at Bay Ridge also has a private island with a covered pavilion for informal entertaining. A private walkway puts you just minutes from Atlantic Station which offers shopping, restaurants, sporting goods, and a movie theater. Crabbing and fishing is possible at Dream Maker Cottage-great fun for the kids!
Free transportation via open air trolley to and from the beach is available on a daily basis during summer season (depending on availability)
Bedding: 2 Queen beds, 1 Double bed, 2 Twin beds and 2 double/single bunk beds. All beds are new.

Year Purchased: 2005
We are a Virginia couple with North Carolina roots. Ned and I met at Louisburg College and then he went to UT while I went to UNC. Even though we moved a lot, we always hoped to get back to North Carolina. We wanted to "go home," but really couldn't leave our jobs, so we chose a second home back in the "Old North State." Returning to the beach, which had been our playground growing up, has been a joy that we are happy to share with a few families who value a peaceful visit to a home away from home. Our children, grandchildren and friends often enjoy time with us. Dream Maker Cottage is our haven, and we invite you to enjoy this pristine property on soundside in Atlantic Beach and create your own family memories.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
For us, being at the cottage gives us an opportunity to really enjoy the soundside of the island while still having access to the gorgeous, wide North Carolina beaches. We take long walks in the early morning and then ride our beach bikes all over the community during the early evening hours. For some additional adventure, we ride the open-air trolley owned by our community. It is a fabulous addition to our fun. Food is always on our mind, and we are never disappointed in the many, many outstanding restaurants located within fifteen minutes of the cottage. Our children love the NC Aquarium and spend hours visiting or taking part in the outdoor adventure programs available everyday. Once in a while we will walk to the movie theatre or the wonderful restaurant nearby. A favorite is walking the boardwalk at Beaufort and marveling at the enormous yachts docked there. The more adventurous can rent a kayak and paddle over to see the wild horses on Shackleford Banks. There is a great deal to do in the area and none of it includes the routine or mundane. Because I am an artist, I am always finding beauty around every corner. However, perhaps our favorite exercise is swinging in our front porch swing, sipping a cool one. You just have to visit to understand why we keep coming back. You're always welcome at Dream Maker Cottage.

Our family had an awesome time at the beach for our family reunion! The property was beautiful and most accomodating. We have a son w/ physical limitations so a home w/ an elevator was ideal to keep him involved w/ all the family activities. We love the convenience of the pool close by and the pathway for convenience to the nearby shopping center for grocery items. The beach, shops, Ft. Macon, the aquarium and other fun activities are all close.....so there is plenty of entertainment for everyone. We would love to return for a visit in the near future, Thanks!!
