Located across the street from the beach, our cottage is cozy, comfortable and the perfect place to spend a relaxed week away with friends and family. There are two beach access paths within 200 feet on either side of the property, an outdoor shower to wash off sand and sunscreen, and plenty of parking for guests in the front driveway and behind the house as well. The denim couch in the living room is huge and comfortable for napping and TV viewing. There are two dining tables to accommodate a dinner crowd or for playing games with the kids. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a large lounge chair for extra reading/privacy space. The second bedroom has two double beds and the third bedroom has a double bed as well.
The floors are hardwood and tile and the kitchen is sunny and open. The Folly Pier and the town of Folly Beach are within easy walking distance and the "Washout" (Folly's famous surfing beach) is just a couple of blocks toward the Morris Island Lighthouse. Guests are welcome to use the grill on the front porch and enjoy ocean breezes while they barbeque.

Two couples own this house. My husband and I fell in love with Folly Beach after living in the Low Country for several years. We've lived all over the U.S. and have come to appreciate the warmth and kindness of the people of South Carolina. The other couple who own this home are born and bred South Carolinians who love the water, the beach, and outdoor living.
Why the Owner Chose Folly Beach
We spent a week in Folly Beach in 2003 and knew that we had to return. We have vacationed all over the country but there was something uniquely relaxing and comforting about Folly Beach. It's not fancy, it's not fashionable, it harkens back to an earlier time before granite countertops and stainless steel appliances invaded beach rentals!
The Unique Benefits of this House
We think you'll find Folly Beach a taste of the past, somewhat hidden away from the growth and activity of the rest of the area, despite the fact that it's only 10 minutes from downtown Charleston. On Folly, you can take long walks on the beach, stroll into town for coffee or breakfast or just to browse the specialty shops. Time passes slowly and stress-free days unfold to the sound of the surf and lure of the sun.
