Located across the street from the beach, our cottage is cozy, comfortable and the perfect place to spend a relaxed week away with friends and family. There are two beach access paths within 200 feet on either side of the property, an outdoor shower to wash off sand and sunscreen, and plenty of parking for guests in the front driveway and behind the house as well. The denim couch in the living room is huge and comfortable for napping and TV viewing. There are two dining tables to accommodate a dinner crowd or for playing games with the kids. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a large lounge chair for extra reading/privacy space. The second bedroom has two double beds and the third bedroom has a double bed as well.
The floors are hardwood and tile and the kitchen is sunny and open. The Folly Pier and the town of Folly Beach are within easy walking distance and the "Washout" (Folly's famous surfing beach) is just a couple of blocks toward the Morris Island Lighthouse. Guests are welcome to use the grill on the front porch and enjoy ocean breezes while they barbeque.

Why the Owner Chose Other Folly Beach Properties
We spent a week in Folly Beach in 2003 and knew that we had to return. We have vacationed all over the country but there was something uniquely relaxing and comforting about Folly Beach. It's not fancy, it's not fashionable, it harkens back to an earlier time before granite countertops and stainless steel appliances invaded beach rentals!

We think you'll find Folly Beach a taste of the past, somewhat hidden away from the growth and activity of the rest of the area, despite the fact that it's only 15 minutes from downtown Charleston. On Folly, you can take long walks on the beach, stroll into town for coffee or breakfast or just to browse the specialty shops. Time passes slowly and stress-free days unfold to the sound of the surf and lure of the sun.

Two couples own this house. My husband and I fell in love with Folly Beach after living in the Low Country for several years. We've lived all over the U.S. and have come to appreciate the warmth and kindness of the people of South Carolina. The other couple who own this home are born and bred South Carolinians who love the water, the beach, and outdoor living.

This property was exactly as described. The pictures are perfect. The owners were very accomodating with a late check out request. We had many family members from all over the country in Folly Beach for a wedding. We had one of the best cottages. The beach access is practically across the street. Everything was provided except food. There are plenty of stores on the way in to Folly Beach. The restaurants there are very good. We ate a couple of times at the Grill right on Center Street. Definately a vacation to remember.

Great house on a great beach! This beach cottage is a nice balance of laid, back casual beach life with clean, modern amenities. Mornings and evenings sunlight beckons everyone to share a drink on the deck with ocean view, and the open floor plan is great to keep everyone hanging together in doors. This turned out to be perfect for a group of friends getting away for the weekend. Owner's were easy to work with and get in touch with. Thanks so much!

This is the second winter we have spent time on Folly. It gets better each year. The house has everything you need including a new king sized bed! The owners go out of their way to make sure everything is available, clean and ready for your enjoyment. Thanks so much for sharing your house with us. We hope to see you again next year.

We had a wonderful stay at this well maintained beach cottage. Very clean and comfy, it had all the amenities that we needed. It was a short walk to the beach access point. The wonderful porch, which has an ocean-view, was great for enjoying the late afternoon breezes, as it was shaded from the direct sun. We enjoyed dinner at the picnic table there almost every night. Dinner included fresh shrimp and fish purchased from the nearby seafood shop. We highly recommend staying at this charming home!

Mexican tiles and hardwood, clean, clean, clean! This home has all the comforts of home with an Atlantic view from the large deck on the front of the house. The photo doesn't depict the true size of the front deck where we would sit in the corner sitting area drinking coffee while watching the sun rise, listening to the ocean. Our party included six adults and one 9 month old and there was plenty of room to lounge together watching preseason football or play Scrabble. The home is beautifully decorated and the beds are comfortable. The washer/dryer combo is so handy to both roomy bathrooms. The efficient washer spins most of the water out of your clothes. The kitchen is well-equipped to meet your cooking needs. The owners are orgainized, having all your questions answered in a notebook, leaving phone numbers in case of an emergency. We enjoyed great meals at local restaurants while some drove to charming Charleston. We had good "family time" and that was our purpose for sharing this incredible space. Being with each other under one roof again, dancing and laughing was so good.

This was such a wonderful house! It was nicely decorated, very comfortable and plenty of space. Also, it was a very short walk to the beach. My family loved it and will definitely rent it again. Folly Beach is such a unique, eclectic town with lots to do and Charleston is just a few minutes (about 15-20) away with an unending amount of places & activities to see & do, shops to browse and restaurants to eat at. Fantastic vacation!!!

My husband and I spect the month of February at this perfect vacation get away. The locals are so friendly and made us feel so welcome. The house is much larger than it looks and so clean! Although the weather was cooler than usual it was so much better than Upstate NY! We enjoyed walking the beach and the bright sunshine. Without wishing away our summer, we can't wait to go back and we hope for a longer stay next time. The is a perfect spot for a family or adult couples. Thanks so much Ann. See you next year!!
