Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2003

My husband and I bought this house and lovingly renovated it. It is a new hosue within the old frame. It was designed to enjoy the sunny southern exposure and the view of the Buckland Hills across the Deerfield River. The interior is open, airy, and efficient.

Why the Owner Chose Shelburne Falls

We have both lived in this region since the mid 1970s. We have lived and traveled through many parts of this country but both love of western Massachusetts . We enjoy meeting the many travelers who pass through each year, several who are now repeat visitors.

Wonderful apartment in a great location

This is comfortable and welcoming apartment in a lovely town. It's an an tourist area that still maintains local character and isn't too crowded. Shelburne Falls and the surrounding area has nice places to eat and shop, and interesting things to see. There's good hiking, rafting, and swimming holes nearby. The apartment is in a fantastic location, very accessible to all their is to do in the Pioneer Valley and the Mohawk trail. It has everything you need and it all runs well. In fact, we liked the apartment, and Shelburne Falls, so much that we hope our daughter goes to camp in the area again next year. We'll definitely try to stay here again!

Wonderful place to stay in outstanding location

Guest: wellfield (Cork, Ireland)
Date of Stay: 10/05/09 Review Submitted: 04/24/10

My husband, 18 month old daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights in October 2009. We had a wonderful stay here and could not fault it. Cosy, well equipped, and the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in! The owner could not have been more helpful, from frequent communication before our stay, to childproofing the stairs, to assisting us with maps and wonderful scenic drives and attractions off the beaten track. Shelburne falls is a stunning town to visit, especially in the Fall, and there are many drives to take in the area as well as attractions such as Butterfly farm, Yankee Candle Factory, and some malls within a short drive. I would not hesitate in returning to this apartment or recommending it to others. Fondest memories of a wonderful trip to USA!

This 3 room apartment is sunny, clean and well furnished. Gallery paintings on the wall, hard wood floors and lovely light fixtures show care in appointments. State of the art washer/dryer and other appliances show care for the renter.
