My family really enjoyed our week at this home. It was in a quiet location, yet close enough to town that it was an easy bike ride. The house was spotlessly clean, and had a well equipped kitchen and large living areas. We enjoyed watching a deer family graze in the yard every evening!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.

A great place to stay, plenty of room, quiet, clean, large yard, easy access & close to town. The pictures on the site are accurate & reflect the property as it is. This time of year gives you a easy relaxed time. We drove the island & stopped at many of the state parks & local businesses. I can only imagine how busy the island is during the summer!! We are definitely coming back for summer time. We strongly recommend this property!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

My family and I spent a wonderful weekend on San Juan Island in this rental home. The location was perfect - close enough to shopping and dining options in Friday Harbor but far enough that we saw a pair of deer (a doe and fawn) on the property two days in a row. With two rooms and two bathrooms, a living room and a family room, there was plenty of space for everyone. Booking was easy and quick, the house was clean and comfortable, there was Wi-Fi and a DVD player, and the living room had lots of reading material, including some interesting brochures and books about the island. About the owner: My wife and I are both retired and enjoy traveling in our motor home as well as spending time at our summer home on San Juan Island. We have spent the last few years renovating the house. We've put in new carpeting and beautiful laminate-oak flooring throughout the house, and a new bathtub/with shower in the main bathroom.
Why the Owner Chose Friday Harbor:
Mom and dad introduced us to the Islands in the 70's and we grew to love it with our family vacationing here every summer. We hope you will enjoy it also.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We really enjoy the sense of community extended to us by neighbors and friends. The long days of summer. (Being so far north, it stays light until 9:30 to 10:00pm much of June through August.) Lot's of excellent restaurants! Lot's of outdoor activities!
