With breathtaking views over the blue water of the Pacific Ocean, Condo Mismaloya at La Jolla de Mismaloya is located just 15 minutes south of downtown Puerto Vallarta on Mexico's Pacific coast. A short drive or taxi ride, or a few minutes longer on the bus brings you to this purely residential area with sweeping views of the Bay and lush jungle backdrop.
At a huge 1450 square feet, oceanfront Condo Mismaloya Suite 6501-2 was beautifully designed and decorated by Susan Strom in a bright Mexican motif with lush tropical plants and a beautiful collection of Mexican artwork and sculpture. Susan was a talented artist who bravely fought breast cancer before succumbing in 2007.
This privately owned, two bedroom, two bathroom condo comfortably accommodates six people and offers spectacular ocean views from the large terrace. There is a phone, English language satellite TV, VCR, stereo, and CD player in the condo. The fully equipped kitchen is complete with stove, fridge, microwave, "George Foreman" grill, coffeemaker, toaster, blender. There is a wet bar with fridge separate from the kitchen so "Margaritas" and meals can be prepared simultaneously to keep everyone happy. Your comfort is guaranteed at Condo Mismaloya with ocean breezes, new air conditioning with thermostats which allow you to set the temperature and better control humidity, as well as ceiling fans to keep you cool.
The living room and master bedroom open directly onto a large private balcony where you can enjoy the magnificent view of the bay. You can watch the activity on the beach and the pool deck or enjoy the jungle vista beyond. Watch the dolphins and whales frolic off your oceanfront deck while you lay back and sip a Margarita. Relax and enjoy the lazy Mexican beach and sun. Marvel at the spectacular sunsets. Condo Mismaloya has it all!
The master bedroom features a new, extremely comfy Serta King bed; the second bedroom has an over-sized Queen bed. Both bedrooms have private marble bathrooms with shower and all the floors in the condo are marble. There are huge louvered doors between the master bedroom and living room which are usually open to allow an unobstructed view of the ocean. They can be closed at any time for privacy, or when someone is using the queen-sized sofa bed in the living room which provides extra sleeping accommodation.
There is wireless internet throughout the condo (plus a hard-wire connection). Service may be arranged at check-in. (Small extra charge applies)
The condo is situated on the fifth floor which is at road level on the street side. An elevator or stairs leads to the pool deck thus making the condo wheelchair accessible. There is a large swimming pool and jacuzzi located on the pool deck and a fitness centre that has stationery bikes, treadmill, rowing machine, bow-flex, free weights as well as another large hot tub. There are tennis courts (day or night) and snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, fishing, windsurfing, jet-skiing, para sailing and boat tours can be arranged from Mismaloya Beach.
Condo Mismaloya is in a gated complex, providing 24 hour security and maid service three times per week. The condominium is set up like a hotel so registration is very easy and there is always someone at the desk eager to help you.

This was our second stay in the condo - very enjoyable. The staff is wonderful. The condo sleeps six but the day bed in the living room is a double/full. Bring your own coffee or tea, sugar & creamer if you need it. All the appliances are very nice, lots of glasses, cups, etc. If you are worried about cooking, don't, head to Tony's for dinner in the village of Mismaloya and check out El Jacalito (on the Hwy just across the bridge). On the beach the palapa restaurants are perfect for cool drinks and snacks, the fish tacos are pretty tasty. You can always pick up a few essentials from the little market, up the road towards the village, at Casa Iguana. While it is easy to catch the bus (right across the street) into Puerto Vallarta, there are plenty of taxi's also. We spend most of our time at the beach in Mismaloya and this time visited the zoo (pay a bit extra to pet or hold the babies). The beach vendors are great, since it was a slow time for them we really got a chance to visit. The last day a couple of us did get bit, not sure if that was from the zoo or beach - maybe take some deet bug spray/lotion for ankles and lower legs.
Owner response:Thank you so much for submitting your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to seeing you again in the future!

I do believe my favorite part of the days were the mornings on the balcony having a cup of coffee and listening to the surf as the sun made it's way over the mountains. The palms sway in the breeze, the pelicans fly in their water skimming formations, and the swallows swoop and chirp. So peaceful watching the day wake up.

The time flies by so fast - it is time to leave your beautiful "casa" . Dixie and I had a great time once again. We both love it here. It is hard to leave. We found 2 new restaurants this trip. La Nybe and De santos'. Food is great at both.
