Gorgeous new penthouse condo in private beachfront resort of Kolea.

Our 2 bedroom unit is almost new, has many upgrades, and is beautifully decorated Hawaiian style. Push back the disappearing African mahogany sliding doors onto the lanai--and enjoy a BBQ using the Viking outdoor kitchen--with the scent of plumerias drifting through the air in the ocean breeze. This is Hawaii at its best!

Our location is terrific--a short walk to the private Beach Club that sits 50 yards off the beach at Anaeho’omalu Bay (shared with the Marriott next door).

The Club has a beautiful pool, a kiddy pool complete with waterfalls, a pebble-bottom spa that looks over the beach and bay, a work-out room with great views of the ocean, a kitchen facility you can use, fresh towels for your use, etc.

A short walk in the other direction gets you to shopping and dining at the Kings Shops, and just beyond are the new Queen's Shops. You'll never need to get in your car while on your vacation if you'd like to stay put and relax--it's all there, it's all new, and it's all right next to the warm Pacific Ocean--the reason we go to Hawaii!

(Kolea is the only residential resort within Waikaloa that has direct BEACH ACCESS--and 'A' Bay has lots of turtles and is a protected by a reef.)

If you're new to the Big Island, Kolea is in the larger community of Waikaloa Beach Resort, just 20 minutes from the Kona International Airport. It has great golf, shopping, dining, etc., and it's minutes from other beautiful beaches and activities along the Kohala Coast.

  • This place was top notch! Perfect location, superb decor and Ken was great to deal with. You are only a couple minutes walk to A-Bay and waikoloa village has everything you need for an excellent stay. We also recommend asking Ken for his list of things to do while staying there. We did pretty much all of them and they are well worth it...especially if it's your first time visiting the Big Island. We had an amazing time and cannot wait to head back. We would definitely recommend this unit to anyone. Thanks Ken!

  • These were by far the most luxurious accommodations we have ever stayed in! What a beautiful unit, amazingly furnished with top-of-the-line furniture, appliances, decor--everything. We especially loved the outdoor kitchen/bbq on the lanai. The resort is in a great location, with a 3-minute walk to the pool, another couple of minutes to the beach. We regretted having to leave, and in fact, looked into the possiblity of extending our stay by even a day. Finally, it was a great pleasure to work with the owner, who went above and beyond to ensure we would have a wonderful vacation. We are already trying to figure out how soon we can come back and stay here again!

  • This was our 2nd stay in this property. Total 5-star experience! The furnishings are top-rate and much nicer than the other Kolea units that we considered. It is so comfortable that we had to force ourselves outside to enjoy the great pool and beach access. The location in the resort is also a plus. We enjoyed the perimeter location and the partial view of A-Bay without having to pay the front-row pricing. Altogether, one of the nicest units at Kolea for a great price adds up to a terrific value. Thanks for great memories...see you in the fall!
