Two minute walk to bay beach or gulf side beach. You can walk on the beach around the tip of the island stopping at the fishing pier or lighthouse.
The island is known for its fabulous shelling, beautiful beaches, wildlife preserves, great restaurants, bike trails and charming shops.

My family and I had the best Sanibel vacation (5th year) that we have ever had staying at this property. We usually stay in Fort Myers and "commute" back and forth over the causeway. This time we used our heads and realized the savings of staying on the island (parking, tolls, kitchen, laundry (saves on packing!). The unit was HUGE (three bedrooms & two baths, living room, dining room, big open kitchen, breakfast nook). The location was perfect since my daughter is an avid sheller and devoted to the light house beach. We didn't have to pay to park in order to spend hours at the beach (another plus for this property). My husband could walk out to a spot on the beach that was somewhat quiet in order to enjoy some fishing from shore. The condo itself is spotless, spacious and fully furnished with whatever you could want or need. The pool was almost private because of the time of year that we were there. We used the tennis courts a number of times. The location is the closest to the Lighthouse Point and beach. The views are great from the lanai. We cannot wait to stay again in 2013!Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

Wonderful location with terrific water views. The unit has all the amenities needed for a short or long vacation. The beach is a very short stroll away while the pool makes for a perfect end of day relaxation. Watching the hundreds of twinkling stars from the balcony at night along with the blinking lighthouse is nothing short of breathtaking. And daytime on the balcony provides a show featuring various varieties of birds nestled in the lagoon. The island has dining, arts and music, a first class library, and the famous Ding Darlin Wildlife Refuge along with many other interests all within a short drive from this great East End condo location.Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

I can not tell you enough THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU - we arrived home late last night and had a FABULOUS time - your home is lovely and we so appreciate you opening it to us - we had lovely breakfasts on the deck each morning and I took over 400 pictures!!! We found amazing shells and took great photos of geckos and blue herons right in the grass outside the deck!! I loved reading on eh deck each afternoon while the children took naps - we were at the beach each day at 9am or so and stayed until around 2--- we are brown and full of sunshine - thank you sooo much! We gathered shells at Tarpon Bay as well as took a boat ride with a scientist that was great family fun - we dragged a net out of the estuary and caught huge flounder and all sorts of goodies to study and then release! We had a great dinner at Island Cow and fell in love with Pinocchio's ice cream -- we dream of going back next spring vacation - please keep us in your emails - thank you again!!!!!Did you find this review helpful?
