Why the Owner Chose Intermountain

I grew up in Kansas and my parents met at CU Boulder. They both have an affinity towards mountain living. Naturally we grew up vacationing in this area and picked Vail because it's one of the best ski resorts in America. We wanted a home centrally located between Vail, Minturn, Beaver Creek, Avon & Edwards making the drive to both ski resorts in the area within 10-15 minutes. We also enjoy cooking and having Safeway & City Market within a 3 minute drive helps feed our other passion.

The Unique Benefits at this House

We are located on the free Town of Vail bus route. The line runs every 20 minutes during ski season and drops off at your choice Cascade Lifts (10 min), Lions Head Gondola (15 minutes) and Vail Village (20 minutes).

B
Meadow Bus Stop

Free Bus Service to the Slopes, runs every 20 minutes during ski season

C
Shopping Center

Safeway, City Market, McDonalds, Ace Hardware, Soup Kitchen, Chinese Take-out, Liquor Store

D
Intermountain Park

Beautiful Park on the River, Hiking, Fishing, Dog Park, Sledding Hill

E
Lions Head Gondola

Lions Head, 15 minute bus ride to the spactacular gondola and renovated world class shops, restaurants and ice rink.

H
Bike Path West to Minturn/Avon

The bike path is unique in this world, stretching from Summit County to Eagle County along roaring rapids.

Owner's Map of Intermountain

My girlfriend & I live in Austin, TX during the warmer months and Vail, CO during the winter. We are avid swing & lindy hop dancers that travel all over the US competing & social dancing. Our goal is to some day live in the Vail area full time and nurture a dance scene in the local community.

Comfortable and affordable

I enjoyed my stay in this property. The owner is very accommodating and responsive. It has everything one cold possibly need to be comfortable. The location is great as well. One item worth stating as quite a few people visit Vail to see doctors at The Steadman Clinic: If you are visiting to have surgery and will be on crutches, make sure you are very comfortable on your crutches. While heated and never icy, the driveway one steps out of a car upon is very steep for about 15 feet. Getting out of the car one will not be on a level surface. I highly recommend this property.

Great place, short (50-yard) walk to the bus-stop. Short drive to town. Updated appliances/TV etc. Dog Friendly and very close to West-Vail Dog Park. We found this to be a very affordable option in Vail. The owner was easy to deal with and accomodating. All around we couldn't have asked for more-- We left with only the regret that we didn't originally plan our trip to stay longer.

Great stay

We really enjoyed staying at this house. Location is perfect and is close to shuttle bus. The owner is very nice. A lot of extras were provided like laundry detergents and paper towels. The place has very good washing and drying machine (Electrolux). Overall it was like staying in your own house. We would stay there again if we travel to Vail.

An Awesome Spring Break Ski Trip!!!

Guest: Ron (Plano, TX)
Date of Stay: 03/14/11 Review Submitted: 06/06/11

The studio unit was exactly as advertised. It was everything I expected as represented in the photos and description. Perfect for my teenage son and me to enjoy a fantastic ski trip. The unit is clean, comfortable and convenient. Although we had a car, we used the Vail city shuttle almost exclusively. The location is more residential than other parts of Vail, a little less popluated, and at the end of the shuttle line. The buses were on time and were never over crowded. This was the first time I've worked directly with an owner for accomodations. It could not have been easier. Booking was simple, the owner is easy to work with, and the deposit return was timely.

Perfect Quiet Ski Retreat for a Couple

Guest: don51ski (Genoa Nevada)
Date of Stay: 02/01/11 Review Submitted: 03/07/11

My wife and I rented this unit for the month of Feb 2011 and it was perfect for the two of us. First, it is a quiet neighborhood but less than a five minute walk to the busstop for Lionshead. We prepared most of our meals and the kitchen was spaceous and well stocked with new pots/pans. All appliances worked. The bathroom is large and permitted us to store some of our extra "stuff" in there as we were there for a month. The living/sleeping area is large enough for two people to move freely without feeling cramped. I really liked the 50" TV and could see it from just about everywhere. WiFi was a plus; It worked for 30 days without failure. You should be aware that the heated driveway requires you to "turn it on" by a timer switch located on the outer right side of the garage so when you see the snow come down, turn it on. We had lots of snow in Feb. and the heated driveway saved us from slipping and sliding. The owner is reasonable and easy to work with. She responded to our few questions very promptly. We plan to return to Vail next winter and hopefully this unit will be available again.

Owner response:In December 2011, we have added an auto-sensor for the Heated driveway so that regardless of who's at the home, the snow-melt system will turn on when snow is detected and won't turn off until it is completely cleared off.

Excellent stay! Great place, a wonderful experience

Guest: Pablo (California)
Date of Stay: 11/24/10 Review Submitted: 12/06/10

I definitely plan to stay here again. The house is fantastic, we were VERY comfortable in the 2.5 bedroom east unit. A great, large and nicely equipped kitchen was ideal for us as we cooked several really large meals, and the big hot tub right outside the door was amazing for after skiing. A short walk to the west vail bus was rather convenient as well. The owner is also very accommodating and easygoing, overall a painless experience renting from her. A pleasure.

Owner response:This review was meant for another one of my listings, that listing's title is: Cozy Triplex Home, Hottub, Fireplace, King Bed, Pets. To find this listing click on the link "All My Rental Listings" which is above my Map & Owner's Profile, just below the "View Calendar" button.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my dog in early March and loved it! The unit is so adorable and comfortable! The bed is amazing!! I love the proximity to the bus stop and theres a great little dog park close by that Jersey had a ball in! I loved how the house was quaintly noched right into the side of the mountains! And the hot tub was a huge plus!!! Nothing like sitting in a hot tub with two feet of snow around you! Im going to be renting again soon since I had such a great experience here!
