Douglas Lake is a beautiful, quiet lake. The University of Michigan owns much of the land surrounding the lake so it is not overly populated. It is excellent for swimming and fishing (perch, bass, pike).
The cottage includes two bedrooms, one with twin beds, the other with a full size bed, a full bathroom, kitchen area, and living/dining space. The living room couch folds out into a full size bed.The front area has a large outside deck, yard with campfire pit and a long dock with an adjacent sun deck attached which is perfect for sunbathing. A row boat is also attached to the dock for your use or you can bring your own or rent one from a nearby marina.
The area has wonderful restaurants, including the Douglas Lake Steakhouse just a minutes’ walk away; golf courses and shopping are also nearby.
This is a non-smoking cottage and no pets are allowed.

This is a wonderful cottaghe on a special lake. It is peacefull and serene, with the morning sunrises the best that I have ever seen! There is wonderful swimming, boating and an abundance of hiking and biking trails at your doorstep. A special bonus is the Douglas Lake Steakhouse just a minute from your door.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This is an awesome, cozy "Up North" cottage on a serene lake. We have stayed here many years and always come back each summer. Peaceful location yet close to great antiquing, Mackinaw and Petoskey. Great for lake activities, biking, hiking and "hanging out".Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
