This cozy log home is just yards from the Yellowstone River. Pictures don't do it justice. Wildlife is abundant and viewed from the front porch or around the fire ring -- elk, eagles, Canada geese. Rafters go by regularly as well as fly fishing float trips. The fishing is great right at the property and Yellowstone Park is just a few miles away. The king-size bed in the master bedroom is perfect and the kitchen is spacious and well-stocked. Chico Hot Springs is wonderful for a soak and dinner. Livingston is near and has wonderful restaurants and fun places to shop.

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.

What a beautiful week in a beautiful spot. We are packing up tonight after six day in paradise, and are sad to leave this peaceful, magical place. But we return to our "real" lives filled with the fresh air of Montana. We explored the park, saw more wildlife than we could have dreamed of, fished at Daily Lake, hiked off of Mill Creek, gazed at the pelicans on the swollen river, read, slept, relaxed and remembered what it meant to be together - unplugged. Thanks for giving us asoft place to lay our heads during our memorable family vacation.

We've had a great week here and will be packing up tomorrow night. We loved the beautiful river views, wildlife sightings and just chilling with good friends and family. This was our first trip to Montana and we hope to be back again someday. My husband caught a whitefish in the river yesterday. I absolutely love the peacefulness of this place and will hold it in a special spot in my memory!

Love your cabin - Peice O' Paradise! Great to watch three pelicans float by, then fly back up stream to float by again! Saw osprey and a bald eagle, deer and a herd of mountain goats right before we got here. Too fast to fish but we watched them break in the evening to devour the hatch...our arms were twitching to throw a line in! Hugs and Love -

We are packing up to leave in the morning - quite sad that our 3 days in your slice of paradise is coming to an end. We've been on a tour of the west. We've horsebacked up in the park, rafted for a day in the Yellowstone and soaked at Chico Hot Springs. The beautiful mountain vistas, variety of abundant wildlife and friendly hospitality of all we've met along with the multitude of photos snapped will help us to cherish our family vacation. Lance got to flyfish which has been long overdue with work and family obligations! We will be happy to recommend your beautiful river home to anyone we know planning a trip this way!

Wow! What a wonderful cabin, setting and experience! We had a wonderful time here and saw a herd of elk across the river, groups of canadian geese crossing the river to the island at dusk, swans, eagles, hawks and deer. Thanks for sharing this idyllic location and cabin with us - a great 40th anniversary!

              Year Purchased: 2003

About the owner: We bought the house in 2003 after falling in love with Paradise Valley and the Yellowstone River. I began fly fishing when I was 9 years old I wanted to have a place to teach my kids. I love the quiet of the valley, I love the dark skies at nigth with only a handful of other lights in the entire valley, respledent stars abound. I love the sounds of the geese and ducks on the river and the wind, catching monster browns 100 feet from the front deck. I love the fact that there is no phone.....you dont know how stressful a phone is until you dont have one sitting there waiting to ring at any moment. We do get some cell service here (unfortunately)...turn it off too and see how relaxed you can get! Virtually every Yellowstone animal imaginable has been spotted in the field acrossed the river from the cabin....it's nature at it's best.
