My wife and I were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and were looking for a special place, what a great pick we made when we found Chalet Retreat. It was everything we were looking for in order to get away from the city life for a week. We enjoyed just sitting on the dock with our fishing lines in the water or relaxing reading a good book. We even got to experience a huge windstorm one night and Casey the owner kept in touch to make sure we were ok. We highly recommend this rental to anyone, it would be great for families as there is so much to do.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

This cabin is in a beautiful setting and is clean with many amenities. We especially enjoyed the canoes, kayaks, and the trampoline. It was quiet and the lake was very nice. The owners furnished the cabin with everything needed for a great getaway. I would definitely come back again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The cabin was great. I honestly can say that I really didn't find any drawbacks. The weather was horrible the particular weekend we went but we had a great time. We are already looking at our calendars and schedules to plan another trip. I think we found the one that we will keep coming back to 2-3 times per year. Also, the owners are very nice and very easy to work with!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I booked this cabin based strongly on the high reviews of every one else. While I did not get to go on this trip, everyone that did had nothing but positive comments. When I asked each person if I should book the same cabin the next time we get to go to Beaver lake they all said yes. Having access to canoes and kayaks seemed to be what every one liked most. They had planned on going to Eureka Springs one day during this trip, but everyone was having so much fun at the lake that they stayed there the whole time.Did you find this review helpful? We had such a wonderful time at the cabin and the weather was just perfect while we were there. The cabin was nice (the owners make it so welcoming) and when we had spent all day outdoors the kids had a little down time in the bunk house. They enjoyed having their own space. While we had down time in the hammocks. We went out in the canoe to explore and fish and also went out for hours in the kayaks. In the evenings we had a camp fire to roast marshmallows and have smores. Thanks to the owners for leaving the yummy supplies! Can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

First off let me say thank you to the owner of this beautiful cabin for a wonderful experience. This cabin well exceeded my expectations, and the pictures don't do it justice, well priced, well maintained, completely furnished, beautiful views, private boat dock, plenty of canoes, kayaks, a boat with a trolling motor for fishing, and I could go on for days. My favorite part of this trip was cooking breakfast the morning after we arrived and walking onto the back deck looking across the lake and seeing multiple deer playing. This cabin was absolutely incredible. I would recommend this for a family, couple, or just four guys wanting to get away for a while, just as we were. We will definitely be back.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Thank you so much for the wonderful rest. Your cabin gave us great joy & peace. The guest basket was great too, it was very thoughtful. Your cabin had absolutely everything we needed and more. We didn't catch any fish and we didn't care!! A doe and her fawn visited us every morning & evening. Saw lots of small animals and Canadian Geese. We look forward to coming again sometime. God Bless you.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Wasn't sure what to expect as my family and I have only vacationed in Arkansas on the Buffalo River, I can safely say that I doubt we will ever go anywhere else but Beaver Lake. What an amazing, gorgeous assortment of vibrant colors in October! Every tree was on fire with fall colors! The cabin was unbelievably cozy and inviting. It was evident that a lot of thought and care was put in place when furnishing this cabin. We had plenty of blankets and firewood for the cold front that arrived with us. The owners were also very thoughtful by leaving us a welcome basket with items for us to make waffles, smores, and hot chocolate...YUM! The cabin had plenty of room and was unbelievably clean. We chose this cabin because of the wonderful reviews and I must say that the reviews do not lie! Every compliment was true and even some where understated! This is a place that you must visit and stay a while! The hiking, canoeing, kayaking, board games, gaming equipment, and local area were fabulous!!!Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
