  I saw this property with my family while it was being remodeled and although it wasn't finished and needed a lot of work, we decided to rent it because the house is located in a very accessible street of Old San Juan and the architecture of the front of the building is beautiful with its impressive red doors. You'd never expect what awaits you once you enter those magical red doors. The inner structure is simply amazing with its high ceilings, multiple levels, a pool in the interior garden, open spaces filled with natural light, and spacious areas everywhere through the house and gardens. It's like entering a different world. We heard with enthusiasm the plans that the owner envisioned for the house and we didn't want to miss the final results. Our expectations were surpassed! When we arrived to the property we found a breathtaking villa with a beautiful Moroccan inspired decoration. The pictures speak for themselves, although they can't show its magnificence. Everything is very neat and tidy. The kitchen has all of the utensils needed to prepare your meals and enjoy them beside the pool. You also have the option of trying some of the many nice restaurants that are at walking distance or place a take out order and enjoy your food in the tranquility and privacy of the villa. The peace you'll feel inside this place is so unique that you will want to stay inside as much as possible. You have the best of both worlds. You can enjoy all the excitement of Old San Juan and disconnect yourself when you return to the villa. It is excellent if you want to take some days to pamper yourself and relax,while also having the opportunity to explore all the places this enchanting city has to offer. During your stay you can feel that you belong to the historical, beautiful, romantic and unforgettable city of Old San Juan. Its owner, Otto, will make you feel like you're at home. He's so nice and special and will take care of everything to make your stay a lovely experience. We definitely plan to come back and can't wait for it!   My husband and I rented this apartment for our rehearsal dinner and wedding weekend… and it is literally the most impressive space I have ever seen! Upon entering these beautiful red double-doors from famous Calle Justo, you walk over a small bridge that’s over a beautiful water filled indoor pond. Then you enter through another set of doors to the main living space. The entire apartment is decorated very European-urban chic with a Puerto Rican flare- it is so extremely unique and grand. Every detail has been thought out, from the paint on the walls, to the unique mounted paintings and statues, to the hanging light fixtures. When you enter the main living space you look through the room to an open air in-door pool! The pool is breathtaking. The ceiling above the pool is open, allowing natural sun in and the stars are visible at night. The water depth is deep enough to jump in and play around with- about shoulder height on me. The pool wraps all the way around to the spiral staircase and you enter the water using these underwater steps. It’s the most amazing feature I have ever seen in an apartment. We had a private chef come in to cater the rehearsal dinner and he loved the kitchen, it’s very modern and beautiful. The entire apartment is remarkable, from the little bridges built to get from one room to another, to the spiral staircase, to the glass sinks in the bathrooms, to the foliage spread throughout the apartment, to the spacious and distinctive bedrooms- literally every detail has been specifically chosen to make a perfect, unforgettable space. I have lived in NY City, London, Los Angeles, and have travelled to over 15 countries and have never seen a space this unique and impressive in all my life and travels… and from the looks and remarks from my wedding guests, they were also absolutely blown-away at how awe-inspiring this space is. And you could see the astonishment on each of our wedding guests faces as they entered the apartment. AMAZED!!! I’m in my 30’s, so to put this in perspective for anyone who has ever seen MTV Real World- this house is cooler than any MTV real world house they have ever had on any season! And the owners are great to work with, very professional, friendly and accommodating. I want to go back already! HIGHEST RATING POSSIBLE FOR BOTH THE SPACE AND THE OWNERS!
