Located on Black Hole Creek just off the Magothy River - this lovely old house sits on eight acres of waterfront property with several wooded acres. Perfect for Naval Academy Commissioning Week or Boat Show weekends, Preakness Celebration, Family Reunions, Corporate Retreats, or simply to escape everyday life.
Our pier offers you the ability to arrive by boat/sail and is equipped with 110/30 amp service. We also offer a boat ramp if you want to trailer a boat or a jet-ski. Centrally located to Annapolis (18 miles or 30 minutes) and Baltimore (22 miles or 30 minutes) by car or you can easily boat into Annapolis or points North such as the Baltimore Harbor.
The home itself is reminiscent of a time when things moved slowly and when we didn't lock our doors and neighbors knew you by your first name. We have a fully-equipped kitchen with table that seats 12, screened-in porch overlooking the water. Five bedrooms; one with queen, two with double, one with a bunk bed and a twin bed, and the "Honeymoon Suite" with a double bed. Also a futon and daybed for extra sleeping space.
Enjoy your mornings on the screened porch, sunbathe on the pier or swim in the cove - then enjoy a game of horseshoes or volleyball (equipment provided) before relaxing for a crab feast (crab pot and steamer provided). Bring your kayak or canoe and enjoy exploring the cove and the Magothy River. Let our River Speak to You.

The cottage was well equipped, great location, bright and open with alot of extra touches. The large kitchen table accomodated all of us (10) with ease, we had plenty of hot water and it was nice to have a washer & dryer. The fire pit was great for the kids' s'mores, and the games for the kids were fun with a perfect side yard to play in. We all had a wonderful time and we highly recommend the cottage.

"The Shore" has a lot of activities being on the water (sunfish for sailing, inner tubes+ for swimming) and in the yard (volleyball, swing-set, walking in the woods, fishing). The kids didn't want to leave to tour Washington, DC! You will have a great time!
