Brook Trout Inn - A secluded hideaway located on the doorsteps to Yellowstone National Park, just seven minutes to the west entrance of the park on Highway 20. Only 32 miles to "Old Faithful." We have three different rentals to choose from:
Our "KOZY CABIN" - This cozy historic cabin combines rustic appeal with convenience. Features one bedroom with queen bed and sofa sleeper in living room. Fireplace and electric heat. Filled with local memorabilia and antique furnishings. Ideal for 2-4 people.
Your "BROOK TROUT HOME-AWAY-FROM-HOME" - Spacious home with three bedrooms (one with one queen bed; second with two queen beds and third with two doubles) plus a sofa sleeper in living room. A large open area with a kitchen bar, separate dining table and multiple couches make a great setting for cooking, dining and just relaxing. Unique handcrafted log and river stone fireplace. Two bathrooms (one with shower and one with combination Roman tub & shower, twin sinks and washer/dryer. Electric heat. Picnic tables and plenty of parking. (Easily accommodates 6-8 people.)
The "BULL ELK LODGE" is set higher on the mountain and is perfect for larger groups or combined families (12-15 people). This large private home features sky high ceilings, combined living/dining/great room and kitchen, 3 bedrooms plus one extra large master bedroom that can accommodate an entire small family with its' own fireplace and master bath (3 Queen, 5 Twin beds). Choose from watching the floor-to-ceiling river rock fireplace and large screen TV or the incredible views from the full size windows. Large dining table (seats 12. Wrap-around decks to watch the moose wander by and the incredible Montana sunsets behind Lions head Mountain.
Our properties rest at the base of Lions head Mountain, 7 miles west of West Yellowstone on Highway #20 with Denny Creek meandering through the property, along with abundant wildlife claiming this as their home. Views of mountains, pine forests and Hebgen Lake. This is truly a fisherman's paradise with four Blue Ribbon rivers and streams, along with three major lakes all within 30 miles. Mountain biking and hiking, river rafting, bird watching, geocaching and wildlife photography are just a few of the many things to do.
Snow enthusiasts will enjoy the mountain views and access to Snowmobile trails, X-Country Skiing, and Boon docking right out your front door. Take a day and try a Yellowstone Park snowmobile or snow coach tour.
The surrounding country is alive with history of Virginia City (gold-rush), Lewis and Clark Caverns, and a chance to retrace the trails of the Nez Perce Indians where General Howard pressed forward trying to capture Chief Joseph here on the Continental Divide at the Idaho-Montana border.
