This is our 7th time at the Outer Banks and our 2nd time at Paradise Found. We absolutely love it here and look forward all year to this week of family fun and wonderful memories. Paradise Found is amazingly beautiful, comfortable, well-stocked, and thoughtfully planned. It has beautiful common areas for groups to spend time together and an enjoy the amazing view, but it is also easy to find privacy here due to the layout of the house. I stayed here the week preceding my OBX wedding and can't imagine a better place to spend time with friends and family and relax before my big day. About the owner: Our family and friends are partial to oceanfront Paradise Found (our youngest son came up with the name). We are confident it will be more than you expected in an oceanfront rental. Contact us to find out how to take a virtual tour and a complete floorplan view. There is a hot tub, salt water pool, elevator, game room w/pool table, bar area and handicap access. I know you would love the house and location. It's minutes (you could actually walk or ride a bike there) from the Currituck Lighthouse and the historic Whalehead Club and Nature museum and of course the beach is wonderful! Why the Owner Chose Whalehead Beach:
We love the natural beauty of the Outer Banks of NC. My husband's parents purchased the property in the early 70s, built the first house on the property in '81, and we rebuilt it together in 2006. Our family has created so many wonderful memories here and we'd love for you to have that same opportunity. We'll look forward to your inquiries.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We love to wake up in the morning and watch the sunrise from the comfort of the living room! Out-of-season, we get a cup of coffee, flip on the gas fireplace and watch the sunrise in our PJs!
The house can accommodate our entire family, grandparents, adult children and grandchildren. So after breakfast, we head out to the beach to enjoy the day. We'll spend time on the beach, hunt shells, play in the sand and boogy board in the ocean. At lunch time, we'll head back to the patio area, rinse in the outdoor showers (and are grateful for the outdoor 1/2 bath...), enjoy lunch around the pool, relax and then enjoy the wonderful feeling of the salt-water pool!
If it's not 'beach' weather, we like to ride bikes to the Whalehead Club and the Currituck Lighthouse. Those who like to shop head to Tim Buck 2 or south (about 10 miles)to Duck, NC.
After naps, it's time to head back to the beach or the pool! Since we are right on the ocean, it's very convenient for all ages and activities. We are also grateful for the many private sitting areas/decks, when we need some 'alone' time.
We typically eat in. (We've been told we have the best equipped kitched EVER!) We usally enjoy happy hour at home and go to see the sunset, minutes away at the Whalehead Club. After dinner it's time to be silly and have fun playing games or grab the flashlights and let the kids chase the sand crabs in the dark or view the incredible stars in the sky.
The kids love the hot tub, and after the younger ones head off to bed, it's time for the adults to enjoy a soak in the tub! That's what we call relaxing!
