This gorgeous 1860 square foot 3BD/3BA condo, located at The Peninsula, an exclusive gated community in Gulf Shores, Alabama, is a non-smoking ground floor end unit positioned along the 1st fairway of the Peninsula's Marsh Course. The condo has been beautifully maintained with upscale furnishings and contemporary finishes. The kitchen is home to upgraded appliances, granite countertops, and any kitchen utensils/equipment necessary for an enjoyable stay. The master bedroom features a king size bed, walk-in closet, and attached bathroom with tiled shower, large soaking tub, and dual vanities. While the first guest bedroom includes a queen size bed with attached full bathroom, the second guest bedroom provides a queen bed with a convenient full bathroom across the hall. A pack and play/crib is available for use for our smallest guests. A screened-in porch overlooking a pond and the Golf course is perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Other amenities include free wireless internet access, washer/dryer, cable, DVD player, and TV's in each bedroom.
The Peninsula, a Gulf Shores premier gated community, is only a short drive from downtown Gulf Shores and is nestled between Bon Secour Bay and Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge. Perfect for golf getaways and family vacations, there is something for everyone at the Peninsula. For golfers, there are 27 holes of championship golf at The Marsh, Cypress, and Lakes courses. For families, the Peninsula features a fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, 8 lighted tennis courts, and access to 420 acres of nature preserve - to hike, bike, and enjoy the wildlife. An on-site restaurant also provides breakfast and lunch. A short walk brings guests to the private beach, pier, and gazebo on Bon Secour Bay for opportunities to swim, fish, or simply watch a sunset. For those who love the beach an uncongested public beach access is located just 3 miles west of the Peninsula entrance on 180. Turn left on Mobile Street and park in the parking lot at the beach 'walkover'. While there, take advantage of the hiking and wildlife on several trailheads in the Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge!

We just returned from a 5 night stay at this condo with our 3 children. Absolutely wonderful accommodations! One of our favorite features at The Peninsula was the private pier and beach a 1/2 mile's walk from the condo. We walked out there twice. We would definitely stay here again and we readily recommend this condo.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Looking for a peaceful location in which to enjoy my Memorial Day 2011. This condo was perfect. Beautifully appointed--every thought to comfort has been addressed. Listing photos were exactly as I found the condo. Condo was clean and very well-maintained. Kristin (owner) was extremely nice and easy to work with(answered all questions and/or concerns expediently--Thanks so much!) Brought a hard to impress fourteen yo who even commented on the lovely "softness" of the beds. I was a little concerned about getting into the gulf waters--so went to the clubhouse for the first time to enjoy its amenities(pool mainly). Everyone there was exceptionally nice. As always--enjoyed myself tremendously! Will definitely recommend(as a matter of fact--I already have)!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Why the Owner Chose Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club:
After vacationing several times in the Gulf Shores area, we decided to buy a retirement home. After renting and playing golf at the Peninsula, we decided that it was the place for us. Because the Peninsula's location is nestled between Bon Secour Bay and the Gulf, it is away from the hustle and bustle, but still conveniently located. The Gulf Shores community epitomizes southern hospitality. We love it here and so will you.
