Williamstown house description
Nude sunbathing? If you like. Your sun deck at 'The Pines' is surrounded by sea grape vines for your privacy-but even better: most times you'll find you have the beach entirely to yourself. The Tropic of Cancer beach is one of the Bahamas most pristine, secret treasures, located directly on the Tropic of Cancer. I call it the 'Threshold of the Universe' as it is truly a magical place.
When you have finished sunning and swimming in our crystal clear waters perhaps you would like to have dinner on the balcony. The top floor is vacant when we have guests, so our guests have access to the balcony and their complete privacy on the property. The house is centered on the beach and from the balcony one can see the entire beach and surrounding cays for miles. So pop some champagne and enjoy the view. It doesn't get more romantic than this.
After dinner, relax and watch direct tv on your high def 42' flat screen receiving all premium channels including hbo, starz and showtime movie channels. Got kids? Select a dvd for them from the video library which they can watch in one of the queen sized bedrooms. Each queen sized bedroom has it's own private bathroom for everyone's convenience. There is also a 1/2 bath off the living room for your guests. Both bedrooms are located oceanfront so you can be lulled to sleep by the lapping of the waves on the shore.
Not ready for bed? Take your cocktails up to the balcony, or if the moon is shining, to the sun (moon) deck. Sit back and be mesmerized as you are covered in a blanket of stars.
As a courtesy, we provide internet access and free long distance, however, these services tend to be unreliable at times (price one pays for living in paradise), so if you absolutely must be in touch with home you may want to make your own arrangements. There are internet cafes in town as well.
Whatever you do-you won't be disappointed at 'The Pines'. Come see where heaven meets earth!

A Great Bahamian Getaway
A Great Bahamian Getaway
I cannot begin to thank Melanie enough for sharing her wonderful place with us. We just got back from 10 fabulous days at The Pines and hours of quiet time on a spectacular beach. Every day we would wake up and look out the window at the beautiful turquoise waters and think how lucky we were. The beach is truly amazing and private. At times, you were the only people on the beach and, at its busiest, you could still count the number of people on one hand. The seaside deck was perfect for evening cocktails, music, reflection and gazing at the stars. The bbq was great for grilling lobster tails bought from the hair salon in Georgetown - highly recommended! And the blender provided us with an endless supply of fresh fruit smoothies. Another must is to take a short trip down the road to Mom's Bakery. We went to the famous Santana's one night for dinner but found it a bit over-rated. We liked Eddie's in Georgetown much better or, frankly, just cooking at home and enjoying one of the best views on the island. The bottle of champagne upon arrival was also a nice touch and very appreciated after a long day of flying. All in all, I would highly recommend The Pines to anyone who is looking for a beautiful, secluded beach and wonderful accommodation. Thanks, Melanie!

2 of us stayed here in May 2012 and had a fantastic, quiet, low-key week in paradise! House and accommodations comfortable and plenty big enough for the two of us (would be ideal for a 2 couple group). Rental includes the bottom floor of a two story home, and guests can access the second story balcony as well as the downstairs deck and beachside deck. Very private and quiet stretch of beach. Worth having a car for at least a portion of the trip so you can go visit sites on the island and try out some of the beachside eateries! Great place, highly recommend and we hope to come back sometime soon!

Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind review. Hope to "see you on the beach" again soon.
Spent the first week of June '11 at this beautiful beachfront home on Tropic of Cancer Beach. June isn't tourist time so it wasn't busy, very quiet in fact - something we were looking for. There is lots of privacy. The house is big where each large bedroom has its own bathrm with tub. Nice big kitchen and living room. Nice deck where you can bbq. Nice sun deck steps from the beach.Beautiful sand. Experienced no sandflies at dust, which was a bonus! Brought bug spray and never used it. Renting a car is the way to go. We needed to go to the grocery store a couple times to stock up on more food and water (as you can't drink the tap water)...each drive to town (25 mins) was a fun adventure- pulling off to other beaches; driving on the left left hand side of the road was fun too! Never did take water taxi to Stocking Island across from Georgetown but will do that next time. :-) The owner was very kind and such a big help in planning our trip before we arrived; ie. taxi driver name if we needed one, car rental agnecy, things to do and see, etc.... I would recommend this vacation property to anyone and everyone. It was so peaceful. I look forward to going back to this beautiful place someday. Mary, Ottawa, Canada.

I've traveled this road twice! It really doesn't get any better than this! The Beach is Beautiful and the water is refreshing! This property has everything it says and more. It is well maintained and very comfortable. Loved Chat 'n' Chill, as well as Cocoplum's Beach Club! Also enjoyed, cooking a romantic dinner. This is truly a place of renewal! You will see the stars and the moon in a different light, and the price is right!

Fabulous Accommodations, Nature at its Best!
Fabulous Accommodations, Nature at its Best!
We spent 7 miraculous days in this quiet, private beachfront resort located on the tropic of cancer.. It felt like our own piece of heaven! The accommodations were superb. Everything was modern. We had great views from all the rooms and we were thrilled that we were able to snorkel and swim at will in the clear blue waters. The sunbathing was exceptional in that privacy allowed us to sunbathe nude. We often ate out, on the balcony, that is. It was truly a dream come true. You'll love it and return, as we plan to do in the fall of this year.

Owner response: It was a pleasure to accommodate you. See you in the fall.
All the conviences of home with privacy unequal to anything that I ever experienced. Basking bare under the golden sun and the tropical tradewinds were rejuveniating to my mind, body and soul. I can't wait to go back to the Pines.
