We stayed at Whispering Pines in August for 2 weeks, shortly before Hurricane Irene hit the region. We're so glad to see the property is up and running, and apparently has survived no worse for wear. This place is absolutely charming, so comfortable and thoughtfully furnished and well-maintained. It was exactly what we needed to escape our hectic and nature-deprived lives in the city. Nearby Lowell Lake is fabulous for hiking and swimming. Local farmers' markets are great. We did a whole lot of nuthin', which was just what the doctor ordered. Also, the owner is extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you! We hope to be back!

We stayed for 2 nights mid June 2011 and had a wonderful experience at this cabin. It is located in the woods with plenty of places to explore, a great brook in the back yard with some minnows swimming by. The owner was very accommodating and the cabin had all of the necessities and more. A great get away especially with a kid.
Owner response:Thanks for the nice review. Glad you enjoyed Whispering Pines.

Thank you so much for enabling us to create such wonderful memories at your cabin for our honeymoon. We are certainly going to be in touch with you sometime about a repeat visit!!! My wife and I (wow that is still weird to say) must thank you for the bottle of wine as that was a very nice gesture. You have a lovely spot in the middle of an amazing place and we can't wait to return someday. We also agreed that once we have children it will also be a great place to bring them as well. Again, thank you so much for doing what you do. We agreed that it was the PERFECT honeymoon for us and our little slice of heaven that we know we can and WILL retreat back to again and again.

Thank you so much for opening your wonderful Vermont getaway to us. What a wonderful setting and so cozy and everything you need and want so carefully arranged. We loved the decor and the layout. The weekend was a great combination of relaxing and exploring the area. We snow shoed around Lake Lowell, checked out the town, got some great bread at the Baba Louie bakery and went to Weston on Sunday. We have gone to the Weston Priory in years past and really enjoy the service there. On the way home we went to the Vermont Country Store and the restaurant next door. A really nice last day for our weekend.

Our 4 day stay at Whispering Pines in October 2007 was THE perfect, cozy log cabin experience. We used the location as our base as we travelled on all the backroads through the area - "leaf peeping", antiquing, visiting small towns and villages. The cabin is well-equipped - an ideal setting for a delightful Vermont vacation.

We had a blast in Vermont even though it rained a bit!! Hamilton falls were beautiful as was the walk around Lowell lake. I bought way too many antiques at the stone house shop as well!! We hope to come back very very soon.

I just wanted to thank you for lending us you beautiful cabin. It was very inviting, cozy, and comfortable. It even snowed enough to excite the kids. Everything was great, in fact, better than described. We're looking forward to doing this again.

We truly enjoyed our time at your cabin... what a wonderful place! The kids had the best time and we enjoyed watching them explore a world that was new to them... we even heard a moose in the woods! My step-son had such a blast that he would only leave if we promised him a return visit.
