Wheeler House condo description
We've been renting our condo ourselves since 1997 with 99% positive feedback! People love how well stocked the condo is, it's lovely location, reasonable rates and they come back over and over again!
Our unit is 403 Wheeler House which is located just a few steps from the Super Bee lift. From the Super Bee there is easy access to any part of Copper Mountain and you can ski right to the back door at the end of the day. There is also a great tubing hill located next to the the Super Bee lift as well as restaurants and shopping. Parking isn't a problem because our guests have their own reserved space in an enclosed, heated garage just a short elevator ride to the 4th floor unit. There is also additional parking in front of the building.
Our condo is a spacious two level penthouse with 3 bedrooms (one with a queen, one with a queen and twin, and one with a king) plus a queen sleeper and twin sleeper in the living room, and 2 full baths which will comfortably accommodate 8 people. Downstairs there is a large glassed-in balcony which looks out onto some of the most majestic peaks of the Ten Mile Range towering 3500 feet overhead. Upstairs there is an open balcony which overlooks the 8th hole of an 18 hole golf course and some of the tougher ski runs coming down from the Super Bee lift. The living room is very large with a gas fireplace, cable TV ,DVD and VCR, and separate dining area. Out of the way but conveniently accessible through an open counter is a fully equipped kitchen. Clothes can be washed in the small machines in our unit or in the larger machines in the garage area. For summer there is a private picnic area just outside the building next to the golf course.
Wheeler House is close to both the Alpine and Super Bee lifts. The location is ideal since it's just a short walk to the shuttle which takes you to the center or over to lifts that access the easier terrain of the mountain. Copper Mountain Resort has many new services and shopping. Several good restaurants are right there and if you tire of Copper Mountain it is a short drive to Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin, Loveland, or Winter Park. There are also free shuttles to Keystone and Breckenridge.
For summer fun you should know that we're close to Frisco and Lake Dillon and at the gateway to all of the high country around Leadville and beyond. There are many wonderful opportunities to hike and ride horse back in the area with trailheads close by. Bike paths are available from Copper Mountain to Vail, Frisco and Breckenridge. Also, available, year round, is the Copper Mountain Athletic Club.

Summer is a great time to visit Copper Mountain. Bright, sunny days with occasional showers and cool, restful evenings ensure pleasant times out-of-doors and solid hours of sleep. There is lots to see - by foot in the immediate area or by vehicle in the surrounding country. This particular condo is a gem. It is roomy, easily accessed, generously equipped, tastefully well-appointed, comfortable for two or a larger gathering of friends or family. Best of all, it is CLEAN. I was not disappointed with it in any way and am happy to recommend it to my friends.

It is a lovely place, wonderfully situated for the town, golf course, and ski slopes. We had four adults and seven children and all slept comfortably (a couple on sleeping bags). There are plenty of nitches for the children to have their play times away from the adults and yet plenty of room for everyone to dine together. The kitchen is one of the best equipped I have ever rented.

We had a wonderful time at your lovely condo. Great skiing and so close to the slopes. Very comfortable for our large group. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were very nice and we loved the views. So nice to be within walking distance to the shuttle and ski lift and could ski right home at the end of the day. Everyone loved the condo and how homey it is. Thank you for sharing your second home with us! We'll be back next year.

About the owner: We are a family of native Colorado skiiers. We have skied most of the areas in the state and have always preferred Copper Mountain. A great location and relatively close to Denver.
Why the Owner Chose Wheeler House:
Copper Mountain is so well laid out with the easiet terrain on one side, the medium terrain in the middle and the hardest on the other side. It is one of the best mountains for that and you won't find yourself on something you can't handle.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
In the winter our family has loved waking up and walking about a block to catch a lift to the top of the mountain and at the end of the day skiing right to our back door! We've also enjoyed ice skating at the center, taking a sleigh ride to Dinner in the Woods at Copper Mountain, Dog Sledding at Breckenridge and snowmobiling up Vail Pass. In the summer we are centrally located to wonderful drives like Independence and Boreas Pass. We've loved our bike rides to the top of Vail Pass and down all the way to Frisco. Very exhilarating! We've also loved to boat on Lake Dillon or packing a picnic and taking lovely hikes among beautiful wildflowers. Fun abounds!
