  We enjoyed our 10 day stay here at Island Surf very much. Kihei is the perfect central location for seeing the island. Lots of nice beaches nearby, as well as shopping and dining. The owners thought of everything a guest might need, and we used a Lot of it- especially the cooler! There was even a nice welcome gift waiting for us. The beds are Very comfortable and it is so nice having a washer/dryer in the unit. Our only problem was the noise from the streets below. No construction now, but since its on a corner there seems to always be Harleys and other loud vehicles going by. We took advantage of the AC when we were there in the daytime. Nights were better so opened up the windows and let the cool breezes in. Loved the small out of sight parking lot, always a place open and none are far from the door. Elevators are smooth and there was almost no waiting for one to come. Be sure to walk over to 'Tikis' during happy our and get a great pizza, then drive to 'Coconuts'' for the worlds best Fish Taco.

  We stayed for 10 days at the Island Surf and it was a great location for all the nearby activities, dining and day trips we made. We walked to many locations for food and enjoyed walking along the beach in the mornings. Unfortunately the building is located along a busy street and another building directly below the condo was getting a major overhaul the entire time we were there, so we could never leave the sliding door of the lanai open due to the construction noise on top of the car noise. The construction noise began early and went all day, so we quickly got tired of the back hoe beeping in reverse and other noises and ended up spending a lot less time in the condo than I think we would have otherwise. Due to the door needing to stay shut so our infant daughter could nap and we could relax without the added noise, the condo got VERY hot. So much so that at night when we finally could open the sliding door to get some air flow, it was too stuffy at that point to really cool it down for comfortable sleeping. It's a two bedroom, but we were sharing in my husband's mother. Having to leave the bedroom doors open at night just to get some air flow made for far less privacy within the unit than we hoped for. Having A/C would have been so helpful in our situation. Other than the noise inconvenience, the condo was great- having the added amenities of the dishwasher and laundry were huge! It was clean and nicely decorated. Again, I cannot express how ideal the location is for walking places either. We'd stay again, but next time we'd try to confirm if any construction was going on first.

  Owner response: We do have A/C. We had placed a moveable A/C in the living room as soon as construction started last year so that our guests could cool the condo. I am very sorry that Kim somehow overlooked the AC and didn't realize it was there and suffered from the heat unnecessarily. We've reviewed our documents with information for our guests and edited them to make a stronger point that the A/C is there so that our guests have all the comfort that they deserve on their vacation.

  We (two couples) stayed for one week at this wonderful Condo. Seeing the picture makes me want to go back. Everything was clean and organized. It included several things that made it feel like a home. We enjoyed the extras like the cooler. It was a great location and we enjoyed several of the beaches It was quiet at night, as the bedrooms are in the back of the building. There were some basics like saran wrap and spices which made things easier to prepare some simple lunches and meals.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing.

  There were four of us who enjoyed Andrea's condo in Maui. We had everything in the condo we could think of and left a few extras for the next people to enjoy. Let me start out by saying that the condo was VERY clean. I'm picky and it was very well maintained. It's nicely located in the middle of Kihei. We could watch the paddle boarders and surfers across the street from the balcony, and better yet... we could see the whales blowing water up in the air in the distance and sometimes we could see them slapping their pectoral fins. What a beautiful sight! Foodland is only about two blocks away and there are shops and restaurants very close within walking distance. The beach across the street is small, but there are many beaches within very close proximity to the condo. The BBQs down by the pool area were top of the line and came in very handy. The pool is small and quiet but does the trick to cool off if that's what you're looking for. My girlfriend and I took advantage of this one afternoon while our husbands were out snorkeling. The beds were very comfortable and the tropical breezes added comfort throughout the night. I must warn you about one screwed up rooster who doesn't seem to know when morning is however. It was quiet funny to hear him crow at 11:00 pm at night. For me this just added a little bit of chuckle now and then. He was not always so untimely.. but often. This of course has nothing to do with the condo itself. Anyways.. all of us agree that we would not hesitate to book this condo again when returning to Maui and have even written down the address and condo number so we don't forget. I also have to add that Pam, the women who sets up the booking of the condo, is FABULOUS! There were no hitches and our deposit was returned to us within five days of returning. She is a pleasure to work with. I can not say enough good things about this place and location. Enjoy Maui!

  Our stay was absolutley wonderful. The condo was great!! I would suggest it to anyone going. The location was perfect. We could walk to anything we needed. Kihei is very easy to get around. We did lots of sight seeing, whale watching, beaching and eating out. It was great. We even did a round of golf at "The Emerald." Beautiful course. If I wanted to complain about one thing it would have to be the wind. It got quite windy each afternoon and we would have to leave the beach by about 1:00 or 2:00. But Maui did deliver on the nice warm consistent weather. Maui Girl was quick to reply, and it was a pleasure working with her.

  We stayed in this two bedroom condo for a week in jan/13. It was clean and comfortable for 4 adults and our 1 year old. It was very quiet and we never heard any neighbors. Well stocked with some essentials and extras like snorkel gear and beach chairs. We liked being able to walk to so many close beaches, restaurants, and outdoor markets. We loved kihei cafe for breakfast - get the cinnamon bun french toast slam! The lanai was a tad on the small side for us and the kitchen had a lot of ghost ants but we put poison down that cleared them up pretty quickly. Pam was extremely helpful and accommodating.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

• Great Maui condo!!

  I'm so glad we found this gem in Kihei! We went on vacation with another couple and chose it for its layout (2 queen bedrooms, 2 full baths) and the view from the lanai, which is crucial. It is the cleanest freshest condo I've ever rented in Hawaii, which means so much to me. The cupboards, the fridge, the cookware, everything was in great condition, and our bed was super comfortable. The building is very nice, even though it is an older property, and there's food and services available in the building. It's a very short walk to amazing Charley Young beach, and to Foodland, the grocery store. The owners even put the Foodland discount cards on both the condo keychains, this is very thoughtful! I'm excited to recommend this condo and hopefully I'll be back again soon! Our damage deposit was returned within a few days of our checkout too. Thank you Pam!

  First off - as soon as you walk into this beautiful condo - you fell right at home! It's airy, very clean & comfortable. A beautiful touch by the way is the hand painted ornament with note that the owner has left for you to take back home as a momento of your stay. The condo looked exactly like the listing photos and the description was right on.... Great location - close to everything you could ever want & more.... Maui Girl answered all our questions prior to our vacation and emailed us a great variety of places to eat & visit. A must visit is the Da Kitchen (near airport)!!!! It was awesome!!!! If you like horseback riding, go visit "Frenchy" at Piiholo Ranch. We had such a great time with him on our 2 hour ride through Eucalyptus forests and green pastures overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Well, just to say - we will be back to Maui & this condo in the future. We hope that anyone that sees this listing in planning their vacation will take the time to stop & really see this beautiful place that is being offered for their enjoyment. It is well worth every penny spent!!!! Thank you (Mahalo)

  This property is newly remodeled and in great shape. Lovely decor and fully equipped. It even has a coffee grinder! The location is right across the street from a good beach and walking distance to restaurants. I like this area of Maui because it is not as built up as the west side and closer to the airport, the upcountry and the road to Hana. When we arrived we came right in not thinking that it was too early for check-in. Fred came by and let us know that the condo still needed cleaning. He was very gracious and let us store our luggage. He called us when it was ready. The place was spotless when we got back. He also gave us good restaurant recommendations. If we ever return to Maui we would stay here again.
